QUOTE(xelrix @ Feb 22 2009, 06:10 PM) has anyone tried replacing cm gemini fans with cm 90cfm fans? I do not have this product, but using the 90CFM fan should reduce the temp by a few degrees.how is the performance? any significant increase in cooling performance? I recently installed 3 90CFM Cooler Master fans, 1 intake and 2 exhaust, my core temps reduced by 5C - 8C!! |

QUOTE(tkh_1001 @ Feb 22 2009, 06:45 PM) Yea..Its not exactly 90CFM, thats what I heard too but I installed 3 of them, running at full speed, the sound level is surprisingly low as I was expecting a louder noise since I installed 3 of them. And they really push alot of air! I installed one of them at the top part of my Cooler Master 590 casing and when I put my hand 5cm from the fan, I can feel the air! I can still feel it when my hand is about 15cm away from the fan! However I can't feel the air being pushed from my back exhaust fan. Maybe coz there are more holes for the air to go through at the top compared to the back.. Added on February 22, 2009, 7:02 pm QUOTE(xelrix @ Feb 22 2009, 06:53 PM) seriously?! At first, I was just like you..disappointed my the fans when I found out it isnt exactly 90CFM..now thats a let down. anyway, is it worthit? hows the lifespan? good? and just one more question. will there be any of cooler master 200mm fan gonna be sold in malaysia? if yes, approximately when? But after consulting members from Hardwarezone.com.sg, they say that its worth it coz it pushed alot of air and its cheap! Of course most ppl will recommend brands like Yate Loon and Scythe but Scythe is very expensive..one of the forumers here is selling for RM80 per fan and I'm not sure about Yate Loon. So, for a RM30 fan like this Cooler Master 90CFM fan, its really reasonable. I've heard that the LEDs tend to die very fast but I do not care about LEDs anyway. There's a thread about this fan, you can read it at: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/696093 This post has been edited by deejay220989: Feb 22 2009, 07:02 PM |

Just now..I removed one of my Cooler Master 90CFM fans to replace the screws with rubber screws, and I realized that the fan is kinda oily/greasy..
Any idea why is it greasy?? Btw, the rubber screws didn't work..I can feel my casing vibrating due to the fan's speed lolz! Added on February 28, 2009, 11:39 pmI need help I'm confused which one should I get? CCF or S1283 or Red Scorpion? This post has been edited by deejay220989: Feb 28 2009, 11:39 PM |

QUOTE(AceCombat @ Mar 1 2009, 01:15 AM) I'm just afraid of the damn pushpins..I have terrible experiences with the Intel stock cooler..now I'm running my Q6600 with stock cooler, 50C at idle QUOTE(ham_revilo @ Mar 1 2009, 05:00 AM) greasy i think its due to the exposure of greasy/oily enviroment. your pc is place near to your kitchen or anything that cause greasy stuff? Nope, my PC is at the living room.QUOTE(Bonchi @ Mar 1 2009, 05:13 AM) shouldnt be a problem fitting....ive seen a sunbeam CCF fitted in it as well...tho honestly the tip of the heatpipes are almost touching the side panel The blades and the frame of the fan are greasy. I suspect that its the grease which is used to lubricate the motor..which part of the fan is greasy? coz almost any fan out there..the centre piece where the sticker is...is always greasy...that is suppose to lubricate the motor |

QUOTE(ham_revilo @ Mar 1 2009, 05:59 PM) CCF's push pin is very much easier to remove and install compare to intel's push pins. Intel's one need to use a screw driver and twist it while CCF doesnt You only need to use the screw when removing the HSF. I've got no problems with removing..only problems with fixing it..Maybe I've already fixed it correctly..but somehow my temps are still at 50C at idle!! |

QUOTE(iBenQ @ Mar 3 2009, 04:50 PM) CCF is a lol... those that buy CCF are mostly tricked by frostytech HAHAHAHAHAHA Maybe he didn't install it properly, push pins are very troublesome they are happy that their CCF cools their Core2Duo ALOT, try running them on quaddies and i7 at high voltage and speed c la there was a user last time using q9450 @ 4ghz, he used ccf, and guess what's his temp, 88c during load... |

Icic..so you fixed it onto your HSF..your temps reduced after installing that 90CFM fan?rite now only one 90cfm on my Fenrir. QUOTE(ham_revilo @ Apr 4 2009, 02:51 AM) what i use to do is to raise the fan from the filter. go hardware shops and get some extra long screws and nuts (if u need it) Lol..I'm having the same problem with iBenQ too..using CM690 + CM 90CFM fans..that would do the trick I don't understand what you meant by 'raise the fan from the filter' >< EDIT: Err..do you mean you fix the fan far from the filter?
