Oh icic..means I am right..gap between the fan and filter..
But how about CM690's front fan? I hate those filters..but without them more dust will go in!!

Maybe I should but the fan at the higher level..

What about 8800GT? My 8800GT went up to 75C when playing The Last Remnant ><

ThermalRight HR-03 Plus is one good heatsink..but pricey and take up alot of space after installing a fan..

Hi guys..need some opinions..

I'm using:
Sunbeam CCF + Tunix TX2
Computer located in a non air-cond room
Q6600 at 2.4Ghz

When I first installed the CCF (few months ago), my idle temps were about 40C. Now, my idle temps are about 45C-47C, it can never reach 40C anymore..

At full load using Prime95 Blend test, I get around 60C-62C.

Why did my idle temp increase? I've got a feeling its got to do why my thermal paste. If I have the time next week, maybe I'll renew my thermal paste..but installing the CCF is a pain..my fingers bleed when I first install it lol..

Btw, I'm using RealTemp 3.00 to measure my temps since I install my CCF, so its not the version of the program that causes the increase in the idle temps

@deejay220989

you need service your rig..maybe dust everywhere...

I forgot to mention that I've also cleared my comp (remove dust from intake fans and inside the casing). The only dan I didn't clean is the exhaust fan..they don't look dirty to me lol..

I did a stress test just now. My max temp remains the same as before, 60C-62C, but my idle temp is the one increased.

I see that people can get an idle temp of around 30C..I want that sad.gif

Possible post a pic of it with sidepanel removed.

I'm using CM590. I've made my wiring much tidy last month which results in a reduction on 2-3C lol..

I an using FOUR CoolerMaster 90CFM fans. 1 top, 1 back, 1 side, 1 front.
I'll try to get a pic asap.

Thanks!

how about ambient temp before this?
*
Before this, idle temp was 38C-41C, full load temp is 60C-62C
After few months, idle temp was 46-48C, full load temp remains the same.

After clearing up the casing, cleaning the fans, cleaning the input fan filters of my CM590, re-arranging the wires, the idle temp is now 44-46C.

The only reason for my idle temp to increase might be due to global warming, which increases my room temp lol..

Can I know whether is Q6600's temp is higher than Core i5's temp?

My Q6600 always idle's at 44-46C sad.gif
I wish I could go lower than that..

If rainy days.. its 38-40C..

EDIT: Btw, my Q6600 is running only at 2.4GHz..
