Which anti-virus doesnt run in the background when the computer starts? I just wanted to scan my computer occasionally when I feel like it.
I never use anti-virus for years and never been hit by any of them. Currently using Ad-aware + ZoneAlarm +Winpatrol to protect my system.
Another question, do u think online virus scanner work as good as those normal scanner? If it is then I don't have to install any anti-virus then. thumbup.gif

Did you guys notice that most online virus scanners that scans the whole PC (not those that just uploads file/s for scanning) only work with ActiveX Enabled Browsers like IE.
Are there any of these scanners that work with Firefox, Opera, Nescape and other similar browsers?

Yup....that is the problem
I have the firewall, I have spyware scanners already

All I need is just a simple antivirus
I don't need another all-in-one antivirus that provides all the repeated features in my firewall and spyware detectors

I'm using antivir happily now smile.gif

If like that, i must change to another antivirus. Hmm..samuraikidz, what antivirus you use now?Or i switch back avg lor. sad.gif

avast! the free version sux la...cant even schedule the scanning. after that, it cannot do certain task automatically during scanning, like quarantine/delete the virus that it found doh.gif

NOD32 is good....if u try to download a file that contain virus, it will stop the download before the download is finish.

This thread is unpinned

But still, keep all the antivirus discussions in this thread instead of opening another "Recommend-me-an-antivurs" thread
