i thought can only take screen shots but looks like can use the camera to take pics also.

no problem for mine. did not come out any such message and now the Garmin doesnt come on anymore after i unplug USB...
oops....spoke too soon - when i connect via PC suite, it asked me if I want to open Garmin.....

I noticed some difference in the browser after the 11.049 update -

1. now clicking on a link opens up a new window. this is great for me.
2. in the Options under Browser, there is a new option for Bookmark Manager. I think it wasnt there before. Now I can make new folders for bookmarks and also move them around.

just go to Device Manager, make sure you got Wifi connected already. then check for updates. thats it. easy peasy

oops.....sorry i thought you meant N82 is ugly....
actually hor, when I first look at the N79 pictures, it wasnt that nice to me either. Not ugly. Thats too strong a word, unless you are using it to describe N82....
even after looking at the real thing, I felt it wasnt nice and wanted the N78 instead.
after buying it, it kind of grew nicer....

good looking is N79 la.....hehehe

frankly speaking, my opinion is that Nokia has been making some really ugly phones. N82, N95, etc....Thick, black and ugly!

the only thing that brought me back to even look at a Nokia is N78, and now N79

good looking but no brains also no point. N85 also quite ugly to me. But seriously I cant take the sight of N82. The design is so loh toh (as in dated). I cant take this part -

ya i agree, color makes a difference. the black N82 is nicer looking because black hides the ugly key layout that it has....

File Mgr> Select SD card>Options>Memory Card options> format

it seems to be worse now with the latest firmware. even the thumbnails are blurry. before it was ok.

who is guise?

anyway, what do you mean turn over? on its side or face? i have tried it facing down, no problem with snooze

guys please try this -

1. open the shutter door (which activates the camera)
2. then call yourself

you will get an engage tone and the call wont come thru. please check to see if yours does the same thing

thanks. man, i wish i can go back to the old 10.049

5800 is hard to sms, slow, features not as good as N79 imho. some of the bigger fonts also blur blur wan (eg. keypad,). for me i prefer smaller and thinner unit than something as big as the 5800

who selling the black version? AP or Ori?

that day i went nokia centre, i updated their N79 firmware via wifi....hehehehe

i dont know whether it work or not. i connected via wifi. then i search for updates....then i ok it and left....
