I don't know if this is melodic or not but Opeth are pretty melodic and their vocalist is clean. Another one is Rainbow (Ronnie James Dio as vocalist). It sound really really nice.

there are so many melodic metals with clean vocals... just dont look for melodic death metal then you get clean vocal..

Opeth's vox is not that clean ...theyre like a mixture of clean and growl...still good musicianship though
