hmmm.. based on david's post, 2.0.2 is like forthelulz? the only improvement is the baseband but only for i3g and no difference for i2g?

even now, when my iphone backups... it can take forever.. i can take my bath, had my dinner, watch a drama.. and still it is backuping... and 2.0.2 doesnt improve that? how sad...

Did u use bosstools to relocate stuff? The themes symlink should be in /Library/Themes and the real folder located in /private/var/stash. Maybe the symlink got screwed up thats why its not detected properly.

I was wondering why do we need bosstool since Cydia already taken care of the relocating those folder thingy. Hope this time your phone no more gay.

You must have lots of applications from appstore, you can only speed up the backup by removing those apps. The problem is with itune not the firmware.

You can stop the backup of your phone, by typing this at the windows command(DOS) prompt.

"%CommonProgramFiles%\Apple\Mobile Device Support\bin\defaults.exe" write com.apple.iTunes AutomaticDeviceBackupsDisabled -bool true

to enable it again, just change the "true" to "false"

well.. yeah.. had quite alot of apps both free and paid...
not too bad as i already have the backups...

I don't find the itunes backup usefull to me since i do my backup manually. If i have a stock phone (unlock OTB n unjailbroken like string) then it would be usefull. Everytime I restore the phone, i'll just set up as new so the junk from last backup don't corrupt the system. Remember, the backup from itunes are meant for stock phones, not the jailbroken n heavily mod phones.

actually i dont mind about the backups as the most important thing is the contact in outlook... sms is not that important.. dats y i afford to cancel the backup each time.

Same here.. completely disable my backup via mac software.

For sms, i can backup the SMS.db file which has all the SMSes via

var/Mobile/Library/SMS

then when i do a fresh pwn or a restoration firmware, i can always upload the SMS.db back to the folder.
