Lol. I still remember tkh bro's old q9450 c1. Needed 1.4v to reach 3.6ghz right?

No wonder u came this time la lol.

i still trying 4ghz... but then, no tweak applied to gtl since too busy nowadays....

lawl.....i dont take that reading seriously.... i just anggap that one faulty reading cos not possible for mine ambient....

altho i admit i am in aircon room which can be very cold in the early morning (3-5am)

tkh is probably one of a few LYN members who advocate naked rig. and tkh probably has a aircon blowing directly in his opened case tongue.gif

aircon is to blow me one....

i will be damaged if ambient goes over 30c....

proc can tahan till 60-70 ROFL

GTL does stable your overclock.
For my 480 x 7.5, it wont stable w/o GTL setting. smile.gif

at 485 fsb can boot but cant stable at 1.36 vcore. increasing vtt and vmch also no luck. so i think is the gtl thingy. sadly no gtl option in bios. is the gtl effect the oc much?
*
actually, sometimes too high nb or vtt cant help u stabilise also.... try to add the vtt and vnb slowly.....

personally i would recommended u oc bit by bit.... meaning, try go 0.1ghz at a time(personally i move by 0.05ghz laugh.gif)... stabilise it, then move to the next clock ..

normally to stabilise the next clock will only need u to add a lil bit more voltage/ adjustment only.....

that way u get to find max result with minimal voltage.....

just a personal opinion here smile.gif

hey, any ideas on why after overclocking to 3.4ghz (400x8.5) the computer can run stably for very long.. even after burning on intelburntest for 20 loops.. den when shutdown, leave for few hours, den on com, can pass POST but then goin to load windows, the com restarts n bios change bak to stock settings (333x8.5).

restart all ok, oni when shutdown n left for few hours..

did u check ur ram voltage?

and u shud try adding a lil bit of NB voltage and then Vfsb....

try to set ur performance level (trd) of ram to 10 and make sure all loose timing....
