QUOTE(ob8 @ Mar 4 2009, 06:01 PM) everytime? not just after u changed your clock setting? coz as for my mobo, it only does that after the changing of clock setting in bios. but then the 2nd restart will be back to normal. that's not in your case, yes? btw, mind telling a bit of oc info? like fsb, voltage etc. ?This post has been edited by metsatsu: Mar 4 2009, 08:14 PM |

QUOTE(ob8 @ Mar 5 2009, 09:18 PM) The only time that it will do that is that when u have an unstable oc. if it's unstable, it will do that 2 sec turn off thingy and reset to default bios setting, well that happened to me at least. But I have a feeling that u haven't done enough for your voltage part. when u have 400mhz for the fsb, u will need to increase fsb voltage (maybe up by 0.1v or 0.15v) and preferbly set the vcore manually. in your case u said u set it on auto, normally bios' auto won't be high enough for any oc. i suggest try pushing it up to 1.3v and give it another try. how about your ram? what timing are u on? CL5 or CL4? what's your voltage for your ram? btw, turn your performance to 'standard', do not use turbo or extreme etc. u really need to make sure all those are set up nicely. and most of all u need to know what ur doing! This post has been edited by metsatsu: Mar 6 2009, 12:36 AM |

QUOTE(Riddhy @ May 1 2009, 12:33 AM) hello I have some questions. G31 chipset is not good for overclocking bro... it's meant for mainstream market, in other words normal daily use1 . How much actual difference will i get in terms of gaming using a gtx 260 core 216 , 4gb ddr2 ram gaming at most 1680x1050 with med to high details all games maybe with 4xaa and 16 af with Q9400 or Q9550? except 6mb and 12mb l2 cache?? 2. The Xeon Counterparts of 45nm Yorkfields Quad core which are lga 775 socket are they same as those with core 2 quads? do they perform same? whats the difference then ?? for Xeon X3350 with Q9450?? 3. Also for Q9400 or Q9550 Whats the max stable OC using Stock vcore and stock intel HSF? can get to 3.75 ghz easily?? using Asus or Gigabyte g31 chipset mobos?? 4.
