when using telecon...
u need to consider a few things...
first the sharpness will degrade....
and u will lose light...

so if u have a sharp lense...such as the tele primes or 70-200...
then it is ok....
else...the result will not be favourable...
also...u need to ensure that u use a fast lense else the light u lose will make it difficult if not impossible for the AF to work...

with cheap teles....
u cant use a teleconverter....
u need a maximum aperture of at least f5.6 to AF properly....
if u r using a cheap tele lense at f5.6 when u add 2x telecon it will become f11...which wil be too dark for AF to function...
if u want cheap tele...get the 55-200 VR...

pros for using tele...well...u get the range....
cons...u lose IQ and u lose light...so ur lense become slow... =)
