QUOTE(kanz1986 @ Sep 12 2008, 09:22 AM) Reason I don't get SB-900 is Sb-800 smaller but more powerful compare to SB-900. Tested and proven. Even the shop fellow told me so.Besides Sb-900 get overheated quite easily Another photo to share. Playing with effect again. ![]() |

QUOTE(ebernie @ Sep 12 2008, 10:15 AM) No doubt the SB900 is more powerful. It reaches 200mm! But I also hear it overheats easily, though for us casual shooters, shouldn't be a problem. Wedding photogs beware though. My previous post stated SB-800 more powerful than SB-900 la. Read properly.A good thing is that the SB800 is now much cheaper. And so is the SB600. There's always the choice of 2 SB600 + radio transmitters for some really awesome strobist action Even though SB-900 can reach 200mm but comparing the power, it's weaker compare to SB-800. This discussion has been brought up at PhotoMalaysia I get my SB-800 below RM 1,000 |

Actually for Strobist, you can get 1 SB-800 to command other Nissin flash as well. Cheaper way or if you're using D80 and above, a few SB-600 is more than enough

QUOTE(mindkiller6610 @ Sep 12 2008, 02:17 PM) Fractalius is the name QUOTE(shiinkuro31 @ Sep 12 2008, 03:40 PM) Yes.QUOTE(shiinkuro31 @ Sep 14 2008, 03:42 AM) with tight budget, im thinking to buy sigma 70-200 f2.8 for wedding shoots purpose. n i think its okay for me, unless nikkor 70-200 f2.8 VR price drops like hell if 70-200 VRII really comes out.. 70-200 VR won't drop below RM 5,500 for a new unit. But for 2nd hand, it will most likely around RM 4,800 - RM 5,000 n i believe if we utilise the gadget to the max, that shud be no problem. some of my frens impressed that i can stil produce a good pictures (though i dun feel so d40 have child mode for ur upcoming baby.. |

QUOTE(NasiLemakMan @ Sep 15 2008, 01:29 AM) hi guys, sorry if this sound cliche but I was looking for a cheap tele with macro capabilities. Should I get, Get a real macro lens better.a) Sigma 70-300mm APO or b) Nikon 50-200mm VR + extension tube. Thanks for the advice. Sigma 105mm or Sigma 150mm give an awesome output of macro photos QUOTE(mindkiller6610 @ Sep 15 2008, 08:14 AM) i would go for the option a) Sigma 70-300mm APO, SP90 photos really poison you may wanna look at tamron SP90mm (with nikon mount with AF motor). it gives u 1:1 macro, but u only get 90mm tele. |

QUOTE(NasiLemakMan @ Sep 15 2008, 11:22 AM) Thanks, so many choices for macro lens 55-200 focusing at least 3 feet mate.Just found another technique, 55-200mm with reverse ring + 50mm. Reverse ring seems cheaper but sure is a little difficult and risky imo. Not sure how you gonna macro tho. QUOTE(zio @ Sep 15 2008, 11:26 AM) Thanks SP90 indeed is a good lens although a bit more expensive.Well, the Tamron SP90 is not that expensive although still more expensive than the 70-300mm Macro. |
