Damn...yet another thing to consider. But I doubt I'll be upgrading to a full frame format anytime soon, heheh.

What about the Tamron 70-300? I think now it's better to get than the Sigma...the reviews on the Sigma are so mixed, some good some bad. Plus, it's cheaper than the Siggy too...of course, VR is still lacking. Ah, last2 I'll just opt for the 55-200mm Nikkor la...haha.

SB600 for RM700? eh, that's cheap isn't it? I thought it was more than RM800.

Great idea on the outing, Ian. Hope we can organize more outings as a group, rather than just talking here. Unfortunately, I have my exams next week, so I can't make it.

Funny, I just read the Oct issue of DCM, and somehow, I came out feeling like it's biased towards Canon. Dunno, just my feeling. But it's great that they said the D60 is the best beginner DSLR out there, all the more power to us.

QUOTE(orenzai @ Nov 8 2008, 06:21 AM) from my point of view, Canon spend a lot of money on advertising. Thats why you see their ads everywhere. So indirectly it affects the way people think about the nikon vs canon competition. It's not just because of the ads oren. The reviews in DCM are also a bit biased towards canon, I think. The hints are subtle, but it's there. |
