man, 1 thing i hate about animax is malay subtitle. they cant giv us a choice for english subtitle.

cause i hate the english dub =(

i only get english subtitle when FMA or tears of tiara just release new episode, then the subtitle in english.
then next day become bm again =.=

Added on February 25, 2010, 5:35 pmactually in japanese, there's no "fullmetal" word. the official japanese ppl add "full" to make it sound nicer.
the kanji,
鋼の錬金術師 hagane no renkin jutsu shi(if ur pc can view chinese characters)
literally means (if read in Chinese word) Metal, Refine + Gold(this two words combine become Chemical word), Technic/Art, Master/Teacher.

no where can the word "full" be found, so I guess it's just added to make the english title more "authentic"..so if wanna translate to other language, just look at original japanese word, more accurate.

since you're in japan, why don't you ask her yourself?

I think there is a higher chance that she use the name Fullmetal first before thinking that there is no word for Full metal in Japanese, she just use the Japanese version we have now.

but think of it if it's created as" metal alchemist"....
