I have been to KL, Selangor, and found that top 10 is at the cheapest price. Others are just a few dollars more expensive. Benchmark the Top 10 price. If the price difference is just rm 2 or 3 in other places, just get it there, no point drive all the way to Top 10 again and to save rm 10 or so.

Not the case for me, my Panasonic fan ss2 legend Gabe me better price even using c.card no extra charges. Maybe I have bright many appliances from them. Experience with ss2 legend are much better, and not pack like sardine. If I remember right I actually save moor in ss2 legend. No need to pay full, pay partial with credit card, deliver to my house pay them via cheque. Much much better than top ten cash and carry yourself.

Forgot the pricing already. Purchased about 13 months ago.

Yes, 7 fans is not easy to carry, unless you have a MPV or pick-up. Lucky for me, i choose SS2 Legend, some of the installed fans was wobbling and Legend help me to arrange Panasonic technician to fix it. If Call Top-Ten, I doubt to get such service, I try calling them on phone for some question, tried and hate to say, service is not there. Took them so blood long to puck-up a call.

Try looking at this panasonic Nami Jr model. My house ceiling also quite low and this fit mine just fine.
Can't remember the height of the unit but you should check first as 8'2" is rather low for ceiling height.

Fan looks small but air circulation is pretty decent.

i purchase KDK too from top ten.....guess top ten sell the cheapest for KDK after few shop survey......
ya my parent too said panasonic not so good...after 5 years k.o. oredi.....KDK so far so good...
*
Most KDK and Panasonic are same, is like acson = york. How can panasonic not reliable and kdk reliable? One fan spoild after 5 years does not mean that brand is bad, maybe only that fan having problem. If got 10 panasonic fan, all fail I will say is not reliable.

My mom house got 2 Panasonic fan, using since 2000, so far so good.

KDK fan comes out from Panasonic factory.

Why would people think KDK better, Panasonic less better?

Advertisement power?

hi all , wanna buy a ceiling fan to replace this here.

1) http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/7733/img1232yt.jpg

2) http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/6209/img1233oy.jpg

KDK would be preferred since KDK and panasonic is the same.

what should i go for? is the installation included?

You need a customised rod because of the beam. Better measure the beam height and get the correct length rod.

I think panasonic do have light on their fan. Puchong around top ten have pretty good price for fan.

If you rich, can consider Haiku fan. The price almost double up already.
*
Double of Panasonic? I think minimum triple the price. Design very nice and silky.

You mean the Haiku fan? Not double of panasonic. But it own price. Last time selling almost RM1k. Now if not mistaken, cost almost RM2k. After takeover by the Bigass Fan Company from US.
*
the 1k+ pricing was introduction price. My wife told me Kota Damansara have one showroom.

wow...i received feedback that long lasting ceiling fan is without remote.
*
Not really, sometime due to lightning and fry the circuit. Conventional fan less circuit only transformer, coils and resistor but less efficient when running on lower speed.

to change the hook, just loosen the canopy(the one stick to the ceiling) by unscrew small bolt on the rod..detached the safety line and unscrew the nut..the hook normally bolt on to the ceiling via extra wood inside the ceiling..i relocated mine DIY but i create slightly bigger hole than the canopy :|

ejan_: better dun use remote, the IC on the fan might get faulty and u cant slowed down the fan or make it faster..my ALPHA E-LIGHT 28 faulty just 3 months..better just installed normal regulator, easy to DIY..

My Usj house coming to 2years using Panasonic remote fan. So far running strong. Only problem I notice if the fan left not use for many months when you switch it on the motor have some sound, but is gone after few hours of use.

My mom house have two Panasonic remote fans. Running strong till now, remote still functioning. The two fans almost 10years. Got it when Panasonic launched the first remote fan.

Just don't expect things last as long as before. 5 Years for most are consider good. My Panasonic remote fan installed during renovation (2011) still running fine. The Panasonic remote fans in my mom house still running since 2004.

The major problem with remote fans is actually the circuit board (PCB), it get fried easily if your house are prone to surge/lightning, and the most reliable fan will be conventional because it don't have PCB.

Any place that carry this product and how much would that cost?

Think is similar to haiku, and is more expensive than a 1.5hp Ac. Price are over 1k. They always have boot in the renovation fairs.
