I am thinking to get regulator type ceiling fan too.... Just afraid too noisy!

seriously very noisy... doh.gif ...since only have 3 blade thus need higher rpm to produce enough of wind... rclxub.gif

I don't agreed, I have many Panasonic remote control fans, is strong and reliable, my mother Howe remote control fan been running closer to 7 years if I recall. Still going strong. Only problem I initially gaff is wobble, but this have been fix by Panasonic, they can replace all my 3 new fans. And asking the others.

I'm looking at Alpha 718/5B fan.
56" width, 16" height, 5 Blades
4 Speed

Question:
1. How much?
2. Does it have memory function in which the fan remembers the last speed settings before you switch off the main switch? In other words, if I set it to Speed 2 then switch off the fan from the main switch. When I return back to my home and switch on the fan main switch again, does it automatically turn on with Speed 2? or do I have to use the remote control to even turn on the fan and then change to Speed 2 again?

Thanks..

I installed 3 units of the F-MY143 ceiling fans in End 2008. My problem with 2 units.
unit 1 in my living room: When I press the timer off from my remote control, the LED light will show on the fan with beep sound. But after a few seconds, the LED lights will be off. And the timer will be reset. And then, I can't use the remote control to off the fan, even I can hear the beeping sound.

Unit 2 in my master room, when it turn for a few hours, I can hear the fan will produce some noise, like not turning "balance".

Pls advise and help.

I got a problem - in the living room, there is a pendant light right in the middle of the sofa/tv area, then there is no place to hang ceiling fan. Any suggestions? If the fan is installed near the pendant light, I scare the light will 'fly away'...ha..ha.

Hey guys

K14X8-GY (140cm/56") (RM 295) - Gray Colour
K14X8-CL (140cm/56") (RM 335) Gold Colour same Spec as above. Anyone know the RM 40 difference. More expensive paint???

At least Panasonic 4 Blade fans have 3 colours to choose from. Got a good price rom TopTen in Puchong for these fans (KDK gray adn Panasonic) at RM 228 cash and RM 235 Credit card. Anyone knows a cheaper place? Will be making purchase this week any feedback will help smile.gif)

I have been to KL, Selangor, and found that top 10 is at the cheapest price. Others are just a few dollars more expensive. Benchmark the Top 10 price. If the price difference is just rm 2 or 3 in other places, just get it there, no point drive all the way to Top 10 again and to save rm 10 or so.

Thanks Lingleeyen. I going to collect my lights from Top 10 so will get it there. My only worry is stock availablity. They sell them like hot cakes over there.
One day no Panasonic the other day no KDK. SO told the guy to call me when stock arrives adn i wil be buying 7 units so significant difference in price.

Yeah. If you have decided to buy there, just pay up front and there will be no shortage in stock the next time they have availability. I have been foot walking in the entire area and they are the cheapest.

Not the case for me, my Panasonic fan ss2 legend Gabe me better price even using c.card no extra charges. Maybe I have bright many appliances from them. Experience with ss2 legend are much better, and not pack like sardine. If I remember right I actually save moor in ss2 legend. No need to pay full, pay partial with credit card, deliver to my house pay them via cheque. Much much better than top ten cash and carry yourself.

Weikee thefree delivery part sound interesting instead of me carrying 7 ceiling fans in my car with my lights. Will make a trip to DLegend this weekend. Also looking for Fridge so may make purchase there. Thanks. Do you remeber how much you paid for the 4 blade Pananosic?

Forgot the pricing already. Purchased about 13 months ago.

Yes, 7 fans is not easy to carry, unless you have a MPV or pick-up. Lucky for me, i choose SS2 Legend, some of the installed fans was wobbling and Legend help me to arrange Panasonic technician to fix it. If Call Top-Ten, I doubt to get such service, I try calling them on phone for some question, tried and hate to say, service is not there. Took them so blood long to puck-up a call.

You can get the KDK fan few door away from this top ten. If they don't have stock.

You can see a big KDK signboard in front.

I m not sure they will deliver. I brought a KDK fan there. Among the cheapest compare others. Accept top ten since it close that day.

I live nearby. So not a problem for me. biggrin.gif
