anyway, i'm testing out a new forum software.
currently running it at www.nottsaffair.com/forum/

go check it out. to post you must register first, which is fast and easy.
please note that it's just a test-bed for evaluating if it's a good script. nothing official here.

testing goals:
to predict any possible undesired occurrences, e.g. but not limited to data loss, database corruption, spamming bots, etc.
to generate ideas on forum betterment in terms of management of content and membership

the forum is running on vanilla 1.1.8, which is free and open source

Yes it is possible to use invision board. Actually there a a few popular choices, e.g. Invision, phpBB, Vanilla, etc.

I'm just testing out Vanilla as I'm somewhat attracted to its simplicity in management and easily available addons created by an open-source community, and available themes that don't look too "out-dated". Well it's my first tryout of a forum actually... haha

Yes my initial vision is something like yours too. Working on it. Will test Invision soon enough.

Semenyih, depends on what you fancy.

You may find it relaxing, a great study environment, a great getaway from city hustle & bustle, or u can find it boring, lacking in entertainment, dead, etc.

But once you stay here for sometime, I'm sure everything can be worked out. Friends can be made, entertainment spots be found, frequent activities etc. smile.gif

If you are staying on campus then you can't apply for the car sticker. This is to limit the number of cars, as there are limited parking spaces.

If you're staying at a reasonable distance away from campus, then get a sticker from the Head of Security, Mr. Azlan. His room is at the Student Association Building, 1st Floor.

Salary, about an average minimum of RM5k..ranging up to.. sorry I don't know the figure. hehe.
