Regarding the application for a post with the SA Entertainment Team,

Yesterday I sent an email to kasaento@examil.nottingham.edu.my
This morning, which is about 27 hours later, i received the following email from the server:
unsure.gif Hmm, seems like it didn't go through..any advice?

Hmm, like I said, I think Uni server down. Some issues I think.

You can try resending them tomorrow. Maybe they are doing some upgrading.

asking on behalf of my frienz....how many people approx. enrolled for the Mpharm course each in recent years.....what is the proportion of male n female.

Sorry I'm not sure, cause I'm not in mpharm.

But the ratio of male and female, well, I have to say, from what I see, male is really little. Maybe 1 guy out of every 4 girl perhaps? It's not too bad for guys already that ratio, but just an estimate. Maybe lesser.

The price is really almost the same as downstairs, but the food looks nicer and taste better than downstairs, but it still doesn't taste like very good.

I just signed up for the table tennis club...
went for the diabolo training for CCS but there are only few newbies playing with the diabolo without any stunt... (i saw b4 in high school and it was really 100X better than the uni 1), the frisbee is interesting and fun... Highly suggest everyone to have a look at the game...

Anyone can recommend some Clubs and Societies?

I see, can give a little more feedback on the scoring system? Cause I'm in the ACE Commitee and I would like to improve the upcoming dodgeball competition.

Let me know.
Thanks.

I was supposed to be in group 10, but it got disbanded due to lack of members, so I joined group 9 instead.
Well basically most of us were at a lost on how the points were given or taken away.
*
QUOTE(entryman @ Oct 17 2008, 10:06 PM)
Umm.. first of all, as evanesence117 said, almost none of us knew how the scoring system worked. Thus there is lack of team strategy, direction, motivation etc.

Secondly, I think there might be glitches. As I heard of comments such as:"didn't we lose that round? how come we're still in and the other group's marks have been deducted? lol.."

Personally, my team played 5 games. We won a total of 3 games (which included the 5th game), but we're out after that last game which we won. Wondered why..

But it didn't really matter to most though, coz everyone had fun  smile.gif

Alright to answer both of your questions, well, this is how it works.

Point system based is similar to Football scoring system.
Each win is 3 points, each draw is 1 point, and each loss is 0 point.
The numbers you see at the last column, with positive and negative numbers, are actually not the points system, but like football, it is the goal difference.
So how is goal difference calculated in Dodgeball, well, it works - for example, if the winning team wins with 3 people left on the court and the opponent has no more on the court then the winning team gets +3, while the losing team gets -6. That is why some people thought the last column is for points, but it's not. It's just in case there are 2 teams with the same amount of winning games, then we take that into account.

Hope that clears up some confusion.
Thanks.

If, in the event of winning, there's less than 3 people on the court?

E.g. 1 person = +1 ?

Hmm yea it really did clear up much confusion.

Maybe you can post up a ranking list too after the games
Yeah 1 person is +1.
Hmm, yeah true. This is just the ice-breaking, just want you all to get to know more people and have fun.

The main competition, we will try to brush up what's not good enough and make it better.

Rental let's say RM350/month?
Food RM15 per day.
Toiletries RM20/month.
Printing/Photostating RM30/month.
Books (photostat) +-RM200 /course.

So it's about.. RM870 for a normal life?
*
Toiletries RM20/month ??

That is a normal life ? blink.gif

I think that's quite a sad life. I would say RM 950 to 1000 would be ideal. Cause trust me, you might need to have some "cushion" money just in case you have something that happens. But if you don't photostat book, then you can use that money instead.

i saw the scholarships offered.
are most of the scholarships offered starts from the 1st year?

i'm concerned as i was a STPM student planning to go to UNMC.
and i am kinda sure my STPM results is not so convincing.
so dont think i can get any discounted tuition fees.

are there any scholarships available for year 2 /3 students???
*
I don't think so.

I think only year 1 then you have to maintain.

how come our area, semenyih is not covered by TMnet??
*
It depends which part of Semenyih.

Like if you are staying at TTS 4, Wifi precint, or TTS 2 the one at the end, you can apply TM net there.

if you are staying at Bandar Sunway Semenyih, it's covered by TM. Only TT3 and 5 I think it's not covered by TM.

Yeah thank god it's so efficient this time. I hope my last paper can be brought forward by one day so that I can play Frisbee on Saturday.

At least now it gives me a rough plan for my flight planning to the US.
