QUOTE(rxy @ Sep 12 2009, 01:45 PM) Oh..Hmm..This one slightly smaller than the one I described, cause it's totally single. You are not sharing with anyone on anything. You get a single room with attached bathroom, unlike what I described earlier.Ya.Really raise in price ald. Yup, rental has an increase of RM25 per month effective from Sept 09.Wonder who is willing to pay RM410 for a twin share now... LOL.. That's expensive! |

But TTS is nowhere cheaper than on-campus if you are talking about TTS5 and Edu Square. TTS2 is cheaper but also, not that good, looks older and more isolated.

QUOTE(lolhahahalol @ Sep 13 2009, 09:34 PM) Within campus, everywhere has WiFi EXCEPT the hostels, ie the 5 halls.Nonetheless, if you are lucky enough to get the left wing of Tioman hall and at the end of it (which is near to the SA building), you might be able to catch the free connection in the SA. |

QUOTE(KisMyS @ Sep 14 2009, 09:17 PM) i have been offered a room on campus but i haven't known which hall just yet. i have made the booking payment already, about 2 weeks ago. will pioneer century be informing which room i will have after they have done processing the payment or will they tell me upon my arrival for checking in? It is to my knowledge that the moment they offer you a room, they have already reserved the room already. You can ask about it even before processing the payment. But don't expect any changes though. |

QUOTE(mying @ Sep 15 2009, 11:23 AM) How far is Bandar Sunway from the Campus by car? 15 minutes drive? Sunway itself is pretty far from Semenyih, Bandar Sunway Semenyih (a project by Sunway Group) is about 10 minutes drive (my personal estimation).Like say during the summer break do I still need to pay the room rent(on and off campus)? |

QUOTE(carbonfibre @ Sep 15 2009, 03:31 PM) Hey there i would like to find out if there is any courses available here related to automotive engineering or motorsports engineering Automotive engineering is available as an option in mechanical engineering. It's best that you email the staff on your own to find out more. Spoon feed doesn't occur in Nottingham. |

I think WiMax is not in Semenyih yet.
Celcom broadband is available but I am not sure about its strength. For me, SNS is alright. I am not a big fan of P2P so no torrent is okay for me. If you want P2P, SNS is not good for you. SNS does provide good speed for normal downloads like those from rapidshare though. |

QUOTE(entryman @ Sep 16 2009, 08:30 PM) WiMax is not available in many places. Even my place doesn't have it, but 1km away from my place has it I believe Celcom has coverage in Seremban. The promotion activity has been strong here and they are selling without accelerator. Can check their coverage online though. Celcom, as far as I've experienced, got a little bit of coverage in semenyih, but slow or intermittent until cannot work. Didn't even work in Cheras for me, nor Seremban. So..I really dunno. Probably install satellite internet? I've yet to hear someone try that.. hehehe I do see people using Celcom broadband in playing online game, not sure if they use the accelerator or not. (Accelerator is what makes Celcom broadband expensive. With that device, you can get good speed even at places with poor coverage.) |

QUOTE(KisMyS @ Sep 16 2009, 10:02 PM) i sent an email to pioneer century, and they replied that they have confirmed my booking. so does that mean that i can check in by this week? just want to make sure.. I believe yes. It's more sure to make sure with Pioneer than us.QUOTE(lolhahahalol @ Sep 16 2009, 11:29 PM) Checking in on 21st at langkawiOffice.Does it mean I m gonna stay at Langkawi Hall?Btw, how do i get connected to inernet at my accommodaton ? If you are told that you are offered for Langkawi Hall, then you will be staying in Langkawi.Quite a good hall where it's among the nearest to the academic circle. To get connected to internet, if you choose to use the SNS (the internet service available for on-campus students) which is about RM60+ per month, you will need to make payment and register at the SNS Office located in the Pangkor Hall. |

QUOTE(KisMyS @ Sep 17 2009, 12:24 PM) crap-- rm60?? i will be checking in tomorrow and do i have to pay that whole amount to get the wifi for only a few days in this month? You can pay by semesters or pay by months. Pay by semesters is slightly bit cheaper but I prefer pay by months.I believe there's still a one-time activation fee imposed. I forgot the amount already, better prepare more cashes. Also, one LAN cable. |

QUOTE(entryman @ Sep 20 2009, 11:09 AM) RM34000 is degree programme student rite? Why you copied the foundation? confusing.. Entryman, 38k is Monash price la..So, from the above, you can pay (within 1 year): 1. RM38000 (total fees for the year: 2 sem) 2. RM19000 when beginning Semester 1, and another RM19000 at the start of Semester 2. 3. RM9500 when beginning Semester 1, and another RM9500 one month later. Thereafter, RM9500 when beginning Semester 2, and another RM9500 one month later. Eugene's 34k only. So It would be 17k, and then 8.5k. Added on September 20, 2009, 11:22 amNote that if pay by 8.5k, the first 8.5k is paid at the beginning of the semester, and the second 8.5k is done after one month of the beginning or semester, NOT the mid of semester.
