Case 1: I'm not sure on that. Maybe the 2nd slot is used up immediately if you sign in on the 2nd PS3, or it waits until you download the content associated with that ID from the PSN Store.
Case 2: For 99% of the time, [citation needed ] once a DLC has been activated on a PS3, all other users/IDs on that PS3 automatically have access to the content, as in the local usage (not tied to their ID/account). 1-user-locked DLCs such as Warhawk PSN & GT5P EU PSN cannot be accessed by other users/ID on the same PS3. |

have you ever set up remote play?
maybe it is related to wakeup-on-lan option. some routers just send a random wake up signals to devices and the ps3 accidentally being woken up from sleep |

yes you can. in fact, my primary account now is MY and i can use dlcs downloaded by my US account

earlier models have 12mm size
the first 500gb 2.5" sata is 12mm but for 320gb i think most of them in the market now are 9mm if you have the sku number, you can google up the model to find its exact dimension |

glad that you successfully swapped the disk
