it's a bug with lbp.. you have to change the pass back.. or start over from zero sweat.gif

or wait for future patches (fw and/or lbp patch) --> no official words on these

Hi people.

I have a 80gb ps3 and a 80gb USB portable hdd ide Hitachi. I want to backup the ps3 to the portable hdd in order to upgrade ps3 hdd to 500gb.

I've formatted the portable hdd to FAT32 to a single 80gb partition using latest swissknife and my pc can recognize it, no problem.

However, when I plug it to my ps3 and switch on, the portable hdd would blink & make a loud clicking noise simultaneously about every 3 seconds. And the ps3 does not see the portable hdd.

I've read on 1st page that it might be due to the usb casing not drawing enough power and need 2 ports to provide sufficient power to the hdd. But I dont want to get a 2 port usb casing (?)just to find out that it might not work either.

Any ideas? Thanks.

just get a usb cable with 2 usb ports, no need a new casing. i think it can work

Total PS3 noob here. Never touched a PS2 in my life let alone a PS3... (siggy says it all...)

Question :
1. Can someone give me the name of the shop/contact in which I can purchase a genuine PS3 console unit.
2. Just the first one would suffice.

Only this officially in Malaysia (80Gb PS3 ?) :

Any Sony outlets or 3rd party sellers ( http://forum.lowyat.net/Computer&ConsoleGames ) nelsonkoay, bernardmoh, etc

also this thread discusses on local PS3 pricing: http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/746894/+600

Guys, im in serious desperate moments to know how i can change my PSN ASIA id to US or UK or others..

I tried replacing the US PSN Id i created something ago, but im not able to do so..

Can someone list down the steps and guidelines to do so...Appreciate your time..

Many Thanks

Dave

you cant simply change, you have to create a new user (leftmost column in xmb), then sign up for a new psn account. put uk/us/etc address. the zip/postcode must match with the state. google up for a random bank/uni/shop address to put in the registration form

Mine is CECHA00 (JPN).

the #1 sticker at the bottom says 100V~3.8A 50-60hz

but i use a normal 3pin cable just fine on msian 220-240V sockets

msian is same as singapore, hk, uk, aus (220-240v)

us jp and some of europe use 100-110v
