well..your e-appointment comes with the timeslot of your choice. so there isn't any fair or unfair issue there.

What is S Pass?

What the diff between S pass, Work Permit and Employment pass? as in the pros & cons. Why some companies opt for this and the other opt for that. If we don't upgrade ourselves to PR status, can we change job?

You have to understand that those without e-appointment start q-ing there early in the morning in order to get the Q-number. Some even cant get it after waiting 2 hours before the office hour start and those got it dunno when will reach their turns, maybe around 10am? 11am? 1pm? 3pm?. So fair or not fair is up to your personal point of view. You got ur e-appointment, u know ur timeslot. You don't waste time q-ing and bet on the probability. Just make sure you go there an hour earlier your e-appointment timeslot. Submission process basically take around the most 15mins if nothing big mistake make on your application form and assuming your already prepared all the required documents.

FYI, ICA will cancel the e-appointment timeslot of all those ppls showing up prior to their appointed date. Let's say A make an e-appointment on 2nd Feb but he end up go there earlier and get the Q-number any date on Jan, the officer will cancel his e-appointment on 2nd Feb. So that's make sense some timeslot is available after that.

I am considering taking it just to avoid the causeway jam.

It takes more than 8 hrs to reach KL from Spore. you won't want to experience b4 CNY.

Pls be prepared to wait at least 1.5 hrs at singapore checkpoint and 1.5 hrs at Malaysia checkpoint tomolo after 5pm...

Those who will be taking their bus at the larkin stadium at 9pm or before will have a high chance of missing their bus if you finishes your work at 6pm.

My company just retrenched 12 people from our Sg office. That's around 8%. And everyone reckons there'll be another round if the 1Q results are crap.

So 40% is relatively okay. It could have been 100%, minus medical, minus CPF, minus insurance.

14 people won the TOTO $10m grand draw yesterday... it is good especially the economic situation in Spore deepens now.

yeah...nowadays interview doesn't mean get the job. i spent so many times and money goin downsouth just for interview, but didn't get the job.

Is the bonus contractual / fixed?? if it's discretionary......then, better not get her hopes high...not being pessisimistic, but just being safe and realistic....if company not doing well, anything can happen..

it is much cheaper where u probably save a lot for food and house rental. but in exchange, the 3 hours travel time is pain in the ass. the condition would be better if the job have fix working hours. JB crime rate is much scarier than what u see on newspaper. the cases of bike snatching & robbery are much more than what the statistic shows. till some extent my friend will ask me "do u kena rob before?".

base on my personal experience, i commuted for 1.5 years and able to saved a bit of money, but i also gain a really tired body where i only sleep like 4 hours a day. my job require me to work from 10am to 10pm or later so sometimes i end up reaching home at 1am+ with a pack of cold nasi lemak as supper  after the 1.5 years i choose to stay in singapore, although i couldn't save much but at least i have a healthier lifestyle. even i'm 25 but i start to show some health problem d... (thanks to my lazy ass dont want to move  )
