I like the consumer activism here.....good work neighbours! Has anyone called Mr Amir from Syabas?

I don't want too many people bombarding him so if anyone has called or is going to call, please help me to ask the following questions:

1. Is there information about the application / approval process online? If not, pls help to answer the remaining questions.
2. What is commentary stage?
3. Who should we as buyers approach for each stage? Is there a website we can check on the updates?
4. What are the remaining stages?

Arranging keys is easy stuff la....will take a day or 2 at the most.
I still suspect that since syabas had mentioned there's errors in the forms, it could be a problem of communication where each party replies by snail mail instead of just calling or emailing to rectify the issue and this is causing problems for all of us. Working in the service industry, I noticed that most Malaysians 'fear the phone' when conducting official matters. I really don't understand this culture as it can only make all our lives easier.

I hope that it gets sorted out soon or I will have to continue paying rental and servicing my loan at the same time which is in effect, ridiculous to say the very least!

I'm going to call Syabas tomorrow and possibly conference in someone from the developer so that the issue is sorted out ASAP.
Can anyone provide a contact person on both ends?

Finally we got a response from Syabas via email to YB Lau. Thanks to him, the culprit has been brought to the fore and it's the developer who is not following the process as clearly seen from the letter.

I would love to attend but I can't due to personal obligations. I think it's best we plan for 1st week of June....that way everyone will be ready. This is too last minute.

trust me.....it's not that great an idea to rent out to foreigners.
one of them actually hacked down a whole wall in my neighbor's unit and it cost him 10K to rebuild for a measly couple of hundred more in rental for 2-3 months.

I expected this. It's nothing new. I'm available tomorrow if anyone wants to have a press conference. I still maintain that they should handover eventually. The faster, the better.

if i choose not to collect the keys until swimming pool is completed, will that affect me adversely? I'm actually overseas and don't want to come back unless the keys are already out. I came back twice already and wasted a lot of money on the tickets.
