is there any way i can download cydia apps from my pc and install it through my pc? or the only way is to install though cydia?

i found out the problem edi..

no problem with 3G.... i use wifi so when i want to dl a bigger file it always come out tat thing (more den 300kb)

so i on my EDGE and 3G to dl it... way more faster and tat thing din pop out anymore and my bills gonna cost me a bomb..

I have a minor query. It's regarding SwirlyMMS.

I have several unread MMS'es but can't open them to read probably due to the expiration of the duration limit. I want to delete them but can't find anywhere I can click/tap to delete/trash. Found out that only those read are with the trash bin for deletion. Could someone provide an answer please? TQ.

this might be a basic answer to your question. You might have unstable connection.

i guess it is impossible..is fine 2 dl free app frm itunes ok to surfing n instant messeger..jz cydia cant dl..and the rauter jz bside me..

sorry for asking this question , but just wanna clarify some stuff.

when the iphone 3G is connected to the pc via usb, if i download programs through cydia, wat connection does it utilise ?

Does it,
a) connect through the usb and then go through the pc's internet connection to download apps ?
b) it is using edge/gprs/3G to download apps...

if it is b, is there anyway to use other apps to download it so that my EDGE/GPRS/3G bill wun be high ?

if ure using unlimited data plan... u shouldnt be worried and BTW, u cant download more than 10MB with 3g/EDGE data as they cant support it....... correct me if im wrong here...

as for the downloading from cydia, why dont u download it from ur iphone using WIFI? issint it much more easier...?? it can be done but if ure dont know about SSH or winSCP, do not dare try it or u'll end up bricking ur iphone...

I have exactly the same problem as you. Can anyone please tell us whats the problem? Its not my internet connection. I download using Installer can but Cydia is being an ass and always have that "POSIX: OPERATION TIMED OUT or HTTP://APT.SAURIK.COM POSIX: OPERATION TIMED OUT" . How to fix this??

From my very own experience, when I encounter that I just exit and restart the downloading process. It could be due to congestion in the line or system.

sometimes u do get the timeout error. Yes, very irritating. What i did was, disable the 3G and then enable again. that should solve the prob. UNLESS, well, u are in an area where 3G is bad

3G? I am using WIFI to connect to Cydia. Do i still need to disable it?
