Yes, I’m still working on this app. In fact, I have pushed everything else aside for it now.

It is a very hard app to make and porting it is a nightmare which is why I put it off to the last of my stuff. I am glad that ipodtouchmaster is helping out. Most my other apps were able to be ported via the compatibility SDK on iPhone toolchain. Still some work but nothing like this. Categories requires a total rewrite in xcode.

Categories is actually 3-4 apps:
1) A configuration app
2) A specific app launcher
3) An updater app
4) An uninstaller app

So the updater and uninstaller can be done last and are somewhat trivial. But the rest is not. In addition, adding appstore app support is a large task.

I am working on the configuraiton app at the moment. Ipodtouchmaster is working on a rudimentary launcher. When these two are functional we will release an early beta. Hopefully this will be done this week.

After this, I plan to make a much nicer launcher and we may even provide an option to choose which launcher to use.

Included in initial release:
1) Configurator and initial launcher
2) You will be able to make folders and move apps into them.

Future plans for categories once it’s out:
1) Speed dial support - make the ultimate speed dial app.
2) Winterboard theme support.
3) A configuration dialog or prefs bundle.
4) Appflo support in the launcher
5) Interface with mobile substrate in order to seemlessly become part of springboard (big task will be much later on).

walao wehh, that much works just to ported into 2.0
but how come they would make all this happen as this apps. freeware?
they do just for fun?

Looks like is free. He may just do it out of passion..

But seeing the work load, he should be rewarded.

ya lorr, same applied to the others.. bosstool, bossprefs, winterboard, mxtube & much more nicer apps.
dont they wanna make profit of its? or there is supporter so they make all this for free?

xGPS and xGPS Util

The two free software for browsing offline. Finally they were issued and available for download via Cydia adding this repository: http://cydia.xwaves.net

The first application is called xGPS Util and how there had already said, we will provide information on latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, state of connection and version firmwae (xGPS on the hardware, which supports upgrades).

The second is the most important. Through the settings could regulate the use of external GPS "xGPS" or the inner "iPhone 3G" (not yet supported), we can use two types of maps, those of Google and the MDGs (not yet supported). Clicking Maps Manager we will be able to select and download a map offline simply by clicking on the button downloads. A pop-up we will notify the scale of the map and then start the actual download.

This is what i found if you need to read the comics.

Transfer comics to iPhone, just SSH access and create a folder "Comic" var / mobile / Media. Transfer in this path your images(zip format) and start the application on your iPhone / iPod Touch to see them.

I did that already...still no luck...

I got it to work tho..
I just add Comic folder in var/moblie/media

and ssh the zip file..view the pictures.

Just receive e-mail from ixtension saying that they are gonna upgrade the iLog 2.0 to 2.0.1 thru Installer, but so far doesn't come out yet.

Old serial numbers can be use under 2.0.1 so no need to pay again...

Old serial number can use? U mean if u bought iLog2.0 izzit? Right now the app is develope by other dev (ixtension), not the previous one (Alex horuzhiy) so the one i bought for 1.1.X is not valid anymore. For that price and a strip down function from the previous one, i think its not a worth buy.

Categories Beta Testing

Categories v2.00b for iPhone OS 2.0 is ready for testing if there are any takers. I would like to get it out there a bit before putting it on high volume Cydia. Therefore, I am going to put it here for now. Those that install it should make sure they are ok with beta software that has not even undergone much engineering level testing.

Btw, web clip can't be added to categories.

Ya..abit lousy looking and yes..we can use our own png..

I bought my iLog when I was on 1.1.4 and the iLog 2.0.0 doesn't accept old serial number. But I receive email reply from ixtension saying that I must be on iLog 2.0.1 which can recognise the old serial number.

Tapi so far iLog 2.0.1 belum nampak lagi, neither on Installer nor Cydia.

yeah i got that email also ... upgrade the 2.0 to 2.0.1 and put in the old serial number and presto ... its registered. One thing about this new iLog, it lacks alot of the features from the previous version. Try putting in their repo in new installer. The one from iSpazio or iClarified are the old ones.
