Air Layering.
The soil material that I always use.

The gears
Wrigthia Religiosa - "shui Mui"

The trunk is approx 1" in diameter, the upper part of approx 8" will be just fine for an informal upright style.

Clean up the part going to be "de-bark".

Give a clean cut, don't leave connection between upper & lower barks.

Brush on rooting hormones.

Use transparent plastic sheet so that when new roots grows out,can be seen.

Put in the soil, don't tie too tied at the top part so that can water, and always keep the soil moist.

Done. Cover from the sun
If successful, new roots should emerge in 2 months, probably can cut and transplant in 3 months pending on how fast the roots grow.
