If sms is default configured, it is stored in Phone Memory. Everything in phone memory is backed up if you use:
Menu -> Tools -> Utilities -> Memory -> Options -> Backup Phone Memory

To be extra safe, after backup into Memory Card (micro-SD), take out and plug into PC using USB card reader and copy one complete set into HDD (including all hidden files).

With this set, you can restore your phone to exact condition, even if you use another new N82.

I just got this phone last sat.
and I am now struggle to get games that I downloaded to the phone.

does anyone here have a link to games upload guide?

and one more thing, how to get avi movie running smoothly on the phone?
I did manage to install divx player.
but when I upload one trailer files to phone, the movie got lagged.

I just check my Nokia N82 with product code 0561043 for malaysia, they already have version 30 firmware. I think should be just release today. Hope all nokia N82 malaysian user have luck.

yeah just changed to new v3.0.. ...so far i notice that camera startup faster, and also the display brighter...isnt it?..i tried set full..the light much brighter...what bout u guys??

Update phone.....update failed so unplug the usb....
Now the phone wont start keke...so now known as "brick" phone.
Happened b4 with my n73.

no...nss to change ur product code so tht u can update to v30..

You don't need NSS in order to update the firmware. Just click "Update Phone Software" in Nokia Pc Suite. You need NSS if you want to change product code.
