To be honest, the way it sounded by Soul-X is LYN++ was never intended to be a clan made by the founders. Note Cicak wanted it to be a competing clan however, the founders always looked at it to be a group of friends. Thus, a community.

If that really is the case, I feel it's a little messed up. Anyway, I don't want to blame anyone.

What I really want to do is actually form the competitive clan Cicak (and others) wanted. I believe it's time to put some of our toes (if not foot) down and be a competitive clan.

It's coming to the end of September and the beginning of October. Which means we'll owe Reub RM140. Hmm...

I actually was thinking similar. Straighten out this mess, less headache.

However, I believe if we're looking at the future of LYN++ now so this is what I'm also thinking now.

It's right for the clan (competitive) to rent a server for their training. It'll be money worth spent and we need a private server anyway.

As for the public server, why are we maintaining it? I'm looking at this from having to rent 2 servers. Clan = 16 slots (4 subs) and public = 24 slots. (16 + 24) x 8 = RM320 per month.

So, how do you maintain a 24 slot server when Team 1 and Team 2 may only be 16 players altogether? If you think about it personally, will you pay for the other slots because you don't use it often and you are not guaranteed to be able to use it often? I'm talking about the public server here.

It's already been difficult enough just to collect 5 bucks from even the main members every month. So I say don't think about the public servers but what we really need now.

Reuben was kind enough at the time to accept only RM70 per month to maintain the clan server and the public server but that kindness it seems has been not noticed. Therefore, I'm afraid we might have to lose the public server. Trust me, I'm also sad by this because any of my IPs 60.49.x.x-60.53.x.x sucks playing in Singapore servers. F*ck Screamyx.

So Kyril, I think there are these important matters to straighten out.

1. Leaders.
2. Teams. (rest will be automatically ranked later)
3. Server.
4. Training.
5. Scrims.
6. Lastly, tourneys.

Otherwise, if y'all really want to maintain the public servers as well. I foresee the only solution either having some rich-ass punk join the team and sponsor OR each member accepted to LYN++/LYN+ has to pay a membership fee.

And again I'm asking, where do we go from here? I've outlined the issues so we need solutions.

Reuben, that is cool of you and I never expected it coming. So the only pending payment is RM140 including October? Then, RM8 per slot for the clan server?

Ele, ignore Jas. It's your choice whether or not you want to pay Reuben. I'm looking at it not as only charity for the clan server but for the public server as well. Therefore, if you need Reuben's account it's really there. Just look for the BolehVPN maybank account.

Don't know what's the statement you're making but it honestly sounds offensive. Anyway, Jas...just let him do what he wants and feels like it. Don't look at it only as paying to the clan but to Reuben personally for his thanks.

Reub, he was from LYN++. I don't see it as pity but more like what he's thinking when Radkiller paid RM50. To me, this is setting an example that our members do want to pay but they've not known the true situation. Anyway, if you really feel it should be paid by an LYN++ I'll ask him to pay me and I'll bank to you.

I can't say for certain but the clan server may be password protected only for the said 16 players earlier. Depending on the new leader(s) direction and goals later.

On another note, I need Tomato or Kyril to feedback on 1 thing. What do we do with members who fail to respond of their membership by October 15?

I personally feel a deadline has to be set or we'll be hovering around - again.

The leader/captains haven't been finalized. It'll all be done after October 10.

But just a heads up, because LYN++ will be the competitive clan we're limiting the number of players for now. We're looking at less than 20 players. To me, it's fine if he wants to join but as I asked; what are his expectations and can he commit. So yeah.

And stop with the cat la.. T_T later everyone starts calling me cat instead of etsuko. And, we already have a cat here; frapping cat.

Appoint positions:
1. Leader/Captain
2. Teams
3. Admin (server)
4. Training schedule
5. Scrim(s)
6. Repeat 4 & 5 onwards.

And, join tourneys later.

Plus, continue monthly meetings with the addition of performance review and etc. Basically, stuff to make the clan more organized and operational in a better state.

What I said wasn't to be taken the wrong way as you are telling it. Messages on the forum are easily misinterpreted so let me put it in more detail.

I'd like the first meeting to be a formal LYN++ meeting because we need to start on the right footing again. And note that clan meetings are formal gatherings for clan members. Because some members have joined kHz, SoK and etc - how do you invite them to a formal meeting?

If you'd like to invite them as well, I'd suggest having the clan meeting from a designated time to discuss official matters and a later time to meetup and do a gathering with the ex-members.

The ex-members are still my friends too. However, I believe there's a difference between official and social here.

Here's an idea. Why not start your own topic to share the details of the server? Then, if any players experience anything weird they can report it there?

Oh yeah, I'm not really a clan 'advisor' but just your average players doing his best to get the clan up and running again.

I 'd like no one from LYN++ creates another unnecessary feud. And in terms of pub servers, I've to admit they can be nice warm up places as well as an opportunity to rub shoulders and play with some of the best around.

However, 6 vs 6 are still what matters so ignore the pub server scores here. Sometimes some of them (or us) like to reminiscent the times we find most comfort in. Therefore, don't take the pub screenies seriously.

Anyway...I'd like to ask the LYN++ members if they wish to close the registration and start training right away?

October 10 is still rather far and like other members, I'm anxious to start training again.

Reuben, thanks for informing me on the matter and do understand the LYN++ fellows who requested the server admin are having anxiety attacks. Therefore, they're soon to be admitted to the next bench soon.

Anyway, SewerSpeakers is our temporary leader at the moment. This had been decided by Tomato, Kyril, Sewer, Strife, Jas and another member in the chatroom awhile back.

I recognize it as temporary because I'd like a leader who can assume all duties as one and wouldn't be played or persuaded by any form of politics later. In short, prove their qualities.

However, we'll need a server admin to start training sooner than required. So please appoint SewerSpeakers for the moment.

If there are any concerns or problems caused, please do let me know so I can do my best to sort the issue.
