Besides all the hype, how GOOD is this brand?

Everything seems overpriced, nevermind the endorsements by gamers and events - I'm sure they've got quality components which have endured rigorous testing, but a company like Logitech who has been in the business many years before companies like Razer and SteelSeries has more credibility in my eyes.

They've reproduced typical/non-typical wear cycles in real life situations that these manufacturers can only simulate, not having the long standing history that Logitech has.

So unless someone from one of these well established gaming product companies defected over or started their own company from scratch - I find it hard to believe that these items are as good as they claim.

as you can see..logitech is so stuck with their concept on gaming..minus their other products as we are talking bout gaming here..yes they do have a stronger base compared to razer and steelseries..i totally agree with that..as technology is advancing, logitech is stil stuck with their old tech, so other companies has catch up..eg steel series in the gaming department that is..

have you tried both the products from the above 3 companies u mention?i believe you may be using logitech..im jus guessing..it is overprice..may be to some people, but i dunno..for me myself..i have tried products from all of the above companies and i can say is that each company has their winning point..some are good in this, some are good in that..

try it for yourself..its not just the hype..professional gamers are not stupid..they use products that are beneficial to them..ie f0rest..he is still using WMO 1.1 even sponsored by steel series..as the fact mention above, i can see many professional gamers changing for razer and logitech to steel series..

This brand is awesome i tell u. However, their keyboard just really overpriced just because its "mechanical keyboard" which i dont really understand what it is. So, its not worth for me.

If mouse, deng deng. Ikari laser is the best mouse i can say(after compared with deathadder). It take times to get use to it. ONce u get used to it, u wont look at other mice.

For headset, i heard a lot of rumors said that 5hv2 is suitable for counter strike, it suck for music. But icemat siberia is a good headset(dont buy the stupid usb souncard).

ikari no comment..i cant use..left hand..hahah..

yea..cz they tune the headset to hear reload, footsteps and all betta...but i love the siberia..hehe..

Tbh, i got a broken optical, local dealers wouldn't rma
for me cost i got it from amazon...
Steel's official support said that they'll contact me, but its been days and i havent got a reply yet... zz

Anyhow, this is my summary on the mouse...
The ikari optical that i got has cable issues, it connects and dissconnects
randomly, but i manage to use it for some time...
Tracking is good, however, the liftoff is gay, utterly horrible, 7mm on
the destructor, on cloth pad i think its less, but still unusable...
Due to steel's dev team which consist of four random fellow's who does't
even have a proper degree, the tried to reinvent the mx518.510's optical engine, position it vertically, hence the insane liftoff distace and neg accel, casanova, saying steel is "new tech" whr they are just using logi's engine and trying to mod it but failed miserably is just LOL

As for the shape, its trully amazing, they did their homework here,
But still has its weaknesses, the mice is hard to lift, because its grip
is an outward grip, but the problem can be solve by

Maybe i'll get a laser version of the ikari later and do a review, but for the optical version, a dissapointment due to the high liftoff on hardpads mostly...

i havent try the ikari as mention above im left handed but i hav a touch n felt it..but den mouse are very subjective matter as it may be comfy to a person,it may not be comfy to me..

my fren recommends the ikari laser wif destructor,he say it tracks superbly..but i duno how true it is..mayb u can try it?

@CasaNova, maybe u can try to use ikari with qck. Because i tried on my exactmat(both sides) and goliathus, it seem not really good. BUt when i use qck, yeah hell pwnt. But using deathadder on qck is a no no. Tracking is teh horrible.

Added on September 22, 2008, 2:30 pmBy the way, casanova, for your info, laser tracks well with the destructor, because, how the laser engine works and how the destructor is designed, trying not to be wordy, so to put it short, the destructor surface is reactive with laser sensors that gives it a clear refelction hence the performance increase~

I've got no clue what liftoff does. I've got no problems. I still can snipe the enemies ass. Hehehehe. Awesome. Getting a new Ikari from the locals. Haha. In the end they still have to listen to the big boss. Did you have to send the Ikari back to them? Or just pass it to the local distributors?

i also wanna to do some reviews for steelseries. So far i have icemat siberia, qck and ikari.

But qck a bit disappointed cox cant perform well with deathadder.

Da's ir sensor doesnt work well with the qck, its a know issue~
Use it with other mices~
