I usually was a car with one bucket and that is it-that is until I found this 2 bucket technique video-which never occurred to me
Found that video while trying to find the benefits of Bosch aquatak. Does anyone know if those kind of pressurised water system is useful? Save water and provide water pressure at the same time? Though I guess you need to wash a lot to get your money's worth |

QUOTE(michaelyii1988 @ Sep 26 2012, 08:18 PM) the more often u polish the thinner ur clear coat is? correct me if im wrong.. You are correct, polishing is like sanding, you use sandpaper on wooden surface to remove rough surfaces, so do polishing used to remove a very thin layer of clear coat in order reveal a new bright side. That's why we have Opti-Coat to serve the purpose though, the best coating and protection you can get by the way, im looking for PG Clay No.2 (Recommended for light coloured car)..anyone selling pls pm me tgt with postage to sarawak..thanks a million.. And for the clay, can't find it in your place? There is plenty here. Let me know if you need my help. |

hello~ i have 2 cars with different condition, am thinking go for coating or wash/poslish/wax by myself.
- first car is 5 years old, light purple color (although the color name is "sky silver"). Paint condition not really bad but the color is dull already and with swirls marks. It always park at outside and expose to sunlight, rain, dirts, bird drops, etc - second car is just 2 months old. White color car is not easy to maintain coz it very fast turn to dusty and dirts are obvious to see especially raining season now. I have to give privileged to it to park inside apartment bcoz it's new car LOL~ My requirements are, i want to wash car in easy way and fast enough. So i'm considering to use ONR, as i cannot drive my old car into the apartment without access card. sometime washing bay is occupied by other cars as well. i'm also thinking to apply coating for both car but i'll prefer to DIY for cost saving. i hope coating can protect paint better than conventional wax. because very heart pain to see my old car torture at outside and yet i only can send it to RM3 machine wash for my convenience due to busy work life. Please enlighten me. thank you |

ONR is very simple to use. 1 bucket of water and 3 pieces of MF cloth and you get a very clean car.- first car is 5 years old, light purple color (although the color name is "sky silver"). Please enlighten me. thank you As for the coating, so far I can only see Permanon brand that is offering DIY package. Optimum opti-coat no DIY, and have to sign contract with the distributor. But guess you know as well, that in order to coat, it is advisable that all paint defect should be removed first. |

QUOTE(ZeroSP @ Sep 30 2012, 07:09 PM) alright, thanks QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ Oct 1 2012, 12:25 PM) ONR is very simple to use. 1 bucket of water and 3 pieces of MF cloth and you get a very clean car. Hmm...i think need to go car detailing center to do polish first for my old car, then only apply Permanon coating by myself. For the new car (less than 2 months old) i think can apply coating after car wash. If i continue using ONR after Permanon coating, would they conflict with each other? Like tear off the coating faster or damage to paint? |

ONR is very mild, it will not wash off your Permanon.

QUOTE(ohde @ Oct 1 2012, 10:36 PM) Of course if you are talking about those coating such as Permanon, then you can apply coating after wash...but it is not recommended. But actually even new car, the car painting is not that perfect. I've seen some and experience it myself too. Those more permanent coat such as Sierra, etc available... They will remove all the paint imperfection then only apply the coat. Because the layer of coating will protect whatever below, while of course giving you the bling bling car effect. It is just a matter of how long the layer of coating can last. |
