I'm thinking of going to the next step and getting myself a machine. Thinking of something like Makita or flex. Any recommendation guys? Looking for ease of use and a learning curve that's not too steep.

Added on August 11, 2011, 2:07 amOk after doing some reading, I think I'm leaning towards the Flex 3401 at the moment. I could import it from Autogeek for under RM1400. I'm not in any hurry to get them though so I'll probably keep a close look at Autogeek for any sale or promo.

haha... sked la hearing all the horror stories about rotary. Though I'd start off with DA first hmm.gif

I'll be doing minor corrections only, most of the time doing paint cleaning and waxing only. DA should be more suitable right? Guess I'd need some hands on time with both machines before deciding...

I have Sonax Xtreme Polish and Wax ( haven't used it yet), but will use it during this coming holidays. Bought it from Brothers Kelana Jaya. I believe its an AIO with Nano technology, I don';t think it will disappoint. I think its comparable to Autoglym SRP and Optimum Poli Seal.

I'm looking for a good enthusiast detailer around the area of Batu Pahat, Kluang, or Muar that is able to give my ride a perfect mirror black shine. Sent my car to some detailing shop but ended up making my car looked worst. Holograms on the hood and didnt get rid of swirls. I maintained my car well although its just a saga blm, but hey its not how expensive ur car is if u don't maintain it.

So if any of u pros happen to pass by my town Batu Pahat, drop me a PM and we can negotiate on your cost.

hi bro, you cant use those "playdoll" to clay your car. get a Perma Glass Claybar which you can be find at any ACE Hardware.

Dear all,

Is this what hologram mark is?
Is this serious?
user posted image

I was quoted around RM250 to remove it and also another one, RM99 to cover up.
Can anyone recommend me a place to remove it?
or recommend me a product which i can use to remove by hand (well, i've been advised that the only way to remove such marks are by way of machine).

p.s.: i truly regret leaving my car at Proton......they provide this free wash and wax session and the guy there used a rotary buffer to wax my car and hence, this mark...although they offer to polish it up, i'm not sure if i can trust them?

buddy, holograms cannot remove by hand, you need a machine. most important is to find a professional detailer. if not ended up use "wax" on a machine again. smile.gif
