Hi KC, is it ok I use OPC 10:1 to clean the car paint before shampoo? With that dilution ratio, I don;t think it's strong enough to remove the lsp. I wouldn't think about doing it every wash but every 3 washes. I notice it also works great on cleaning up the windscreen.

OPC as shampoo this is what i do - you dont need to re shampoo yr car what i suggest that you first wet the car & use a damp MF spray on 1:3 or 1:5 to clean & rinse off immmediate do njot let it dry - as said in the instruction the far best & one & only power clean in the entire world, both safe for car clear coat (exterior ) & same time for interior so cost effective that - you can dilute to suits your need - clear coat safe - use neat or dilute 1:3 parts water for engine dilute 1:3 or 1:5 parts water for interior - cleaning - leathers, vinyl, rubber plastic dilute 1:5 or 1:8 parts water for exterior paint work - cleaning - best at removing bugs stains, rubber stains - wax residues on plastic, emblem cleaning best usage for removing stickers - bugs stains - birds dropping - wax residues - stains on plastic or vinyl this is the only ultimate you ever need for car detailing - i never leave home without it |

Actually, come to think of it, if one follows the above with regular/weekly washing , may not need to polish at all. Thanks KC!!! |

i recently did a paint study for 2 years - posted just in autogeekonline.com usa
here are some of the comment the gave here are some of the comments I got from autogeekonline.com the most happening detailing geek community ...in USA enjoy ya QUOTE(Meghan;499658) Very neat experiment, your sister is probably hoping you coat the whole car now. QUOTE(S2K;499639) Great long term test and review. Did you ever tell your sister you did this? Didn't she ever wonder why there was a line done her hood and one side was clean and the other so dirty? QUOTE(tchtax;498968) Great write up KC!!!! :xyxthumbs: QUOTE(jpegs13;498970) Well done KC, nice write up :dblthumb2: QUOTE(nothelle;498975) Great in depth review KC, always enjoy your detail write-up. Never thought the versatility of coating... QUOTE(JSMet;498980) Good job, great pictures, even though the color of your sister's car is white, your shots clearly showed the difference in the treated and un-treated areas. Thanks. QUOTE(BobbyG;498984) This is a clear example of why we do what we do and why our vehicles are the envy of others. While I have enough products to outlast several lifetimes it's something that I enjoy doing and all my vehicles are a reflection of my obsession. Awesome writeup KC and thank you for such an informative post!! :dblthumb2: QUOTE(silverfox;498992) There's nothing better to put on a new car than Opti Coat. Best decision I ever made in terms of protecting my car against the elements...NOW throw in salt, harsh North East winters, and it becomes even more important. This is one of the first reviews I've seen on Opti Coat over the LONG term...makes me smile even more...seeing is believing. Thanks again Dr G...and your awesome staff. QUOTE(LegacyGT;499052) KC's- Great long term review  I am amazed! I have just recently (as in the past week) discovered the joys of Opti-Coat, it feels really good to have a visual representation of how much protection my cars are going to have over the coming years. Thank you! I will need to save this thread for future reference to show others. QUOTE(alban61;499077) Excellent write-up!! QUOTE(kc's;499511) thanks guys for yr many wonder words & encouragement I am amazed to get such an respond from you guys will be repplying u soon once i get the 911 turbo done cheerios QUOTE(Tru_Shine;499615) excellent write up! very cool pics! QUOTE(DHCrocks;498965) wow! Great job showing the benefits of opti-coat but I can't believe anyone would drive around with a car with the hood half clean/half dirty looking for 13 months. I'd be to embarassed. QUOTE(UK-Matt;498963) Awsome thread, this should be shown to any of the haters that say waxing/sealing is pointless. Think i'll be getting some opticoat from AG, shame its not sold in the uk. QUOTE(fishnugget;498964) This is really cool...cause I just Opti-Coated my car. I was hoping to read some durability threads but these pics give great comparisons about its protection. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Thanks for sharing QUOTE(embolism;498808) awesome I wonder why I haven't seen an infomercial for one of these coatings as yet. Only enthusiasts seem to know about them. Are they that difficult to apply for the general public? QUOTE(Dr Oldz;498784) Excellent documentation and a great read! Well done:applause: QUOTE(dchristo;498775) WOW, good to see products that really work QUOTE(fancyfootwork;498774) Dang KC! Completely awesome. Very cool experiment. That difference is incredible! to read more http://thedetailers.blogspot.com/2011/07/2...est-by-kcs.html http://thedetailers.blogspot.com/2011/07/2...est-by-kcs.html This post has been edited by KC's: Jul 9 2011, 02:27 PM |

TO all sifus out there... I wanna make my car shiny, smooth and long lasting. Does this called Detailing? But the whole service outside is just way too expensive. Planning to do it myself. How and where should i start? First, i was my car, then dry it up. Then do i use clay to remove all the dirt? Then wash and dry again. Then can i use wax and polish liquid for the next step? Do i apply 1 layer or 2-3 layers? after that, do i apply sealant? What is the sealant for? I wanna make my car last for 5-6months. Is that sealant works? Where can i get those car thingy? Cant find in teco, giant, etc

I'd try claying it first. If it doesn;t work, I'd use a mild polish
