to know you need to do some homework-
our current handphone are slims and full of functionality - some even have 3G, camera Wifi, Blue tooth GPS & Etc.......but why dont we go back to nokia days to use 8200 modal...it is out of dates & we need to keep up with the trend

it was a good product back then - now another story

polish wax - contain both cleaner & minimised wax - let me ask you ,,,what was the reason u want to polish ? is there a scratch u need to remove or some hard stains & same time you want to protect your paint?????

most of these product contains high contain solvent - petroluem bases .....prolong use might risk yr clear coat

whatever the product u will be buying,  i suggest is must be for lear coat safe

as for me - i choose convenience & so easy i can appply in just 5 minutes for the whole car & do it as often as i could
Yupp

same goes with yr 3 in one shampoo or nescafe

Hmm..saw a brand "Kit" clear coat for metallic & solid colour, is it suitable for mine for my car? pls suggest which one should I get? after doing clear coat then need to wax/polish over it?pls advise for 1st time user.. notworthy.gif

Most basic of car care & most imjportant about car detailing is a simple Basic car wash _ the most important of car detailing - begin with a simple humble wash

giving the most express wash in the world - ONR no rinse wash with 3 microfibers

this is what & how we do
Proceed to clay (ONR 2 ounce dilutes in 500ml water) as lubrications the least aggressive but most effective (cost saving & good ROI) - it also prolong yr clay life spent , as most shampoo degrades & break it...

Moving on engine - spot cleaning - (optimum power cleaner) the far most better cleaner i ever use - so strong that can use as degreaser but so gentle can be diluted & safe for car paint & leather (safe for clear coat) i like to dilute 1:5 for engines & 1:8 for interior & leather cleaning

after Optimum power clean - dilution 1:5 parts water ( we are only going to do a spot cleaning test)

after opc wash & onr rinse

Bro KC, do you provide paid detailing service for people out here, like me?? biggrin.gif

Read through your blog, and i'm amazed by what you've done.. Especially the headlamp restoration job on the Honda.. My family has a 6 years old black color continentals, never done polishing job before (except waxing on my own), plenty of swirls, hologram, water marks on the surface under sunlight. Not to mention the paint surface itself is dull after a car wash (by those road side car wash). It has plenty of scratches on the doors by some idiots who don't know to to open their door (I always park my car in a good shape, and i neglect to park in a area which cause inconvenient to the others as i don't want the car end up being scratch)

Oh, and more scratches done by my dog. He love to stand on my front bonnet, driver / passenger door whenever we reach our home. laugh.gif

I always love doing all this job myself, but sometime due to busy schedule, i left no choice but to send my car to the road side's car wash. Another reason is, lacks of the right equipment to do the detailing jobs..
I hardly send my car to those detailing center as i doubt on their skills, not to mention most of them are foreigner workers.

This is the favourite question everybody seems to ask

QUOTE(detailing enthusiast)
But Mr.KC, now everyday raining, so how ? Can get back to the real gloss and shiny condition?

HI Buddy

there are 2 issue you are facing here - dull paint & dirty ride

Paint Dull - usually a sign of worn out, uncared for neglected & oxidized......
eg. a 16 years old oxidized paint
user posted image

Look at the 50/50% comparison before & after
user posted image

is there any product, whatever WAXES, SEALANT will do...many products over the counter - in the market & place alot of effort in to promoting & sell hard.

2 nd case study - can polishing with wax restores this paint? (yes & No)
Yes - a short live of gloss - once it wear out - it return back to dull (just like our Kiwi shoe wax) topping a layer of dressing wax - shine it back - once the wax worn out - it reflect the truth

remember this 4 area set
bottom right - wax with rotary
top right - polish by consumer products
top left - compound by cutting pad
bottom left - compound by wool, cutting pad & polishing pad

look at the depth & so called the best looking area on the centre bottom
user posted image

the wax part - not bad - depth is good, but scratches is still visible (as there is no correction done) now there is another issue holograms we are facing
user posted image

Washing is good - provided it is done properly - whether is a conventional 2 bucket wash or a contemporary 3 microfibers + onr wash

a good good old *wax/sealant is best to put on to protect yr paint from oxidized

* proper recommended once ya - not those contain high cleaning base ones

DRIVE CAREFULLY & DETAIL SAFELY
