I mean, even if your page is ranked 1st, it won't mean, me, as the researcher of the information, would re-visit that particular page again UNLESS, there is something interesting, unique, NOT just REHASHING of the same stuff found all over the net and lastly, updates! At the end of the day, Page Rank is just a number in this vast sea of information. Do you agree?

I think in order to make a blog popular, is to write something that can create a resonance among the readers. Like kennysia, xiaxue, RPK, they are write things that make resonance among us.

I think to make your blog popular, you have to define a theme for your blog and define the readers who are going to read. Who are they, what are their thoughts, what they are expecting from your themed blog and etc. Write something that kick the world into their heart. I think with that, your blog will be promoted by word of mouth and along the time, people will start to link to you recommending others to read.

From there on, your readers, sponsors will come along and congratulations, you've done it!

SEO, adsense and other paid marketing are meant for commercial purpose. It need big cost and I bet a blogger who write for leisure (at initial stage) does not want to spend that much of money. For example did you see kennysia buy advertisement before? I am not sure but I didn't see before so far. But is he famous? You bet.

So bottom line:
define what you want(readers, themes), bomb it with contents, creativity in presenting the contents and link exchange with others.

I thought that pagerank is the result that shows when you search at google. The number one website shown is the one with the number one pagerank. So I misunderstood all this time.. Huhu~~

put up contreversial postings that will get media attention. remember to put links to your blog in other people's blog comment section. but remember to keep the content relevant of course so they will keep coming back for more. and NO do not post nude pictures in blogs, it might get your account suspended. someone is just triyng to give stupid advice or get your blog account suspended
