I hope the 50 ringgit martin fields screen protector doesn't unstick itself when I take the camera out from my pocket or the bag ... whatever.

Anyways ... LOL I prefer the original lumix case. The mod case looks ... Erm I don't need a case that provides no protection laugh.gif
Unless there's an upper protection ... that covers the lens. 300 EURO !!! LOL !!!

Hey IanHo, can get me the Ricoh Lens ? 40 bucks ... I'll pay you back on January when I'm back in Malaysia ... Can ar ?

BTW ...
IS the attached picture considered bokeh ?
I duno how to do more bokoh edi ... any idea ?
That's the most bokehness I can do.

The lens at 60mm wouldn't block the lens ??

Hmm Thanks Daruma ...

But with Ianho's mod I still think it's abit weird. I mean the look of the cam when it's at 60mm zoom. WHen it's at 24mm it looks great.

Is it possible for the LC1 to open constantly (open as big as the 24mm) regardless of the zooming level of the camera ?

Added on November 14, 2008, 3:10 pmWoops ... I just spent 40 AUD for a Apex 60 and a 15 AUD for a wrist strap which needs modification cry.gif

There goes my 125 RM ...

How effective is the LC1 lens cap in protecting the lens from scratches and dust?
I can still see some opening in between the flaps after they are closed.
Means the lens might still catch dust huh?

I think Ianho is not doing it to prevent dust ...

He's doing it
1. Because he wants to prevent external scratches
2. because he hates looking at the "please take off the cap lens" message laugh.gif

Dust will eventually get into your lens no matter what. Just get a blower to blow them off. Or better get the lens protection thing ... the one that costs 40 bucks. laugh.gif

Most important thing I want is the ability to flick it on n immediately snap a pic. To me instant response is the MOST important feature for a street shooting cam.

That's a good point. Only if you buy Lumix leather case laugh.gif (and the LC1 of course) And other cases that allows you to open very quickly.

But like mine ... laugh.gif after unzipping it's already too late. The car had already knocked down the motorist hahaha

I saw this really nice leather goods shop in Shanghai. He had a signboard outside saying he takes orders for custom made stuff. So I walked in n ordered a leather wrist strap for my LX3.  He charged me rmb40 only.

hehe. Actually I already cut it off. I needed to use the neck strap while I was In Shanghai coz 1 of the shopkeepers there advised me against keeping nice things in the pocket. Lotsa professional pick pockets around who specifically target tourists.

You can always put the neckstrap on the bag and put your camera inside the bag.

Seriously this thing is a lovely laugh.gif

I never enjoyed taking photos with any cameras before. With a little manual tweaks you can take whatever photos you want. Cool huh ...

Unlike normal compact cams, you have no idea what you'll see until you snapped the picture.

Well ... Sales people got their own standards of ordering things.

They don't know the demand for the LX3 is huge, that's they they only order a few.
