Hmm Thanks Daruma ...
But with Ianho's mod I still think it's abit weird. I mean the look of the cam when it's at 60mm zoom. WHen it's at 24mm it looks great. Is it possible for the LC1 to open constantly (open as big as the 24mm) regardless of the zooming level of the camera ? Added on November 14, 2008, 3:10 pmWoops ... I just spent 40 AUD for a Apex 60 and a 15 AUD for a wrist strap which needs modification There goes my 125 RM ... This post has been edited by SeeD: Nov 14 2008, 03:10 PM |

QUOTE(PCHo @ Nov 14 2008, 07:17 PM) How effective is the LC1 lens cap in protecting the lens from scratches and dust? I think Ianho is not doing it to prevent dust ...I can still see some opening in between the flaps after they are closed. Means the lens might still catch dust huh? He's doing it 1. Because he wants to prevent external scratches 2. because he hates looking at the "please take off the cap lens" message Dust will eventually get into your lens no matter what. Just get a blower to blow them off. Or better get the lens protection thing ... the one that costs 40 bucks. This post has been edited by SeeD: Nov 14 2008, 07:35 PM |

QUOTE(ianho @ Nov 14 2008, 07:39 PM) Most important thing I want is the ability to flick it on n immediately snap a pic. To me instant response is the MOST important feature for a street shooting cam. That's a good point. Only if you buy Lumix leather case But like mine ... QUOTE(ianho @ Nov 14 2008, 09:20 PM) I saw this really nice leather goods shop in Shanghai. He had a signboard outside saying he takes orders for custom made stuff. So I walked in n ordered a leather wrist strap for my LX3. He charged me rmb40 only. I must say that's one heck of a wrist strap !!Sifu marking out the leather. ![]() Sifu cutting the leather. ![]() Voila! ![]() This post has been edited by SeeD: Nov 14 2008, 10:11 PM |

QUOTE(ianho @ Nov 15 2008, 02:48 PM) hehe. Actually I already cut it off. I needed to use the neck strap while I was In Shanghai coz 1 of the shopkeepers there advised me against keeping nice things in the pocket. Lotsa professional pick pockets around who specifically target tourists. You can always put the neckstrap on the bag and put your camera inside the bag. |

Seriously this thing is a lovely
I never enjoyed taking photos with any cameras before. With a little manual tweaks you can take whatever photos you want. Cool huh ... Unlike normal compact cams, you have no idea what you'll see until you snapped the picture. |

Erm how do you guys take B&W pictures?
I searched around for it but it's not there. Or are you guys talking about unedited raw pictures ? |
