What do you aspect from the LC1 lens cap before you bought it? I am happy with it after I got it, the previous original lens cap just kept me annoying when I need to snap a picture and take off the lens cap every time.

oh...haha...sorry. I didn't look at the picture properly. I got mine with yamiya and it fine with fast delivery too.

A few things come into my mind when dealing with photo sharpness.
i)  ISO (smaller better, e.g. ISO-80)
ii)  Aperture (smaller better, e.g. f/8.0)
iii) Lens (Leica is a very good lens)
iv) Handshake (depends on individual)
v)  Camera processing (can be set in camera settings)

The reason why ur fren's Nikon is sharper might also be due to another factor.
Pixels.
Do remember that the LX3 is a 10Mpixel cam.
If u compare it with a 12 or 14Mpixel cam, the 100% zoom is different.

Let me correct you then. Nikon post process is good. Panasonic might cannibalize your
picture 

Anyway , the comparison between two camera must have the same condition. I doubt
the Panasonic and the Nikon camera is anywhere same condition when the picture is
taken....

erm, same condition means at the same place/time/etc. Everything same.

Anyway, if 8MP, probably your lens and Nikon lens resolution is same.
But since Nikon 8MP and Panasonic 10MP, so:
Sharpness at 100% = lens resolution/CCD resolution
If lens resolution is equal, with increase CCD resolution, sharpness at 100%
will be bad for Panasonic.   

actually picture sharpness also depends on your lens. So when Panasonic
lens and Nikon lens same sharpness, when you see at 100%, your Panasonic
photo will be larger. Sure its less sharp right?

Or look at this way. You have 1 same photo. One is enlarge 80%. One is enlarge
100%. Which one is more sharp?

The thing is, even your lens have different sharpness at difference zoom and
aperture. So its very hard to compare.

Hi all. Remember i said that my lx3 falled on South Korea? At first i tot only the Lenscap was broken and there should be not much problem  . . But then I noticed a serious problem:
Shutter already goes giler. . . Sometimes automatically switch off and on (i can see it flipping), even if I did not press anything.
I think I will be sending it back topanasonic service center. If the repairs more than rm600. . I have decided not to repair it anymore...
By then i  give up lx3, (may be sent to people to play or what, after all, it is now "half malfuntion".. super heart broken ah!!! RM1600 plus extra ori battery and also 8gb sdhc ...)

If my financial is not so tight, i think will go for DSLR oledi...
