Anyone here notice that Opera Mini takes much longer to process compare to the original web browser ?

I can even surf youtube via web browser but not opera.
Any idea all the Sifu's ?

my p1i lag like 2-3second.i mean open other menu and other application.my phone still got alot free space memory.is it normal ?

p1i cannot surf youtube for d one reason that it does not support d flash format....
so youtube is a nono. and wat u tinking comparing a phone with a laptop. a 1yrs old model at there....

its common. try using htc diamond and p1 is fine d. smart phones tend to lag more compare to normal phones.
cause it use more memory and apps are bigger


dont reali need antivirus. will slow ur phone more if u use it. haha

When you use Opera Mini, the data you are getting is actually through a proxy server (opera mini proxy server) that reformats the page you requested. In layman's terms, you want to access a webpage. Your opera mini will send a request to the proxy server for that webpage. The proxy server will get that webpage details, strip it of extra rubbish like images, decorations, flash stuff and then send it to your phone. This is done to minimise the amount of data transmitted and received by your phone. So if you are surfing through 3G or GPRS, this will really save you a lot of money.

How to compare the amount of data saved? Open some webpage in Opera Mini and then check the connection manager for bytes sent and received. Repeat the same process with your computer. Ta-da!

the built in web browser (opera mobile) is by default switch off the photo / images.

Opera mini will download everything.

That factor also important to determine the speed..not to mention processing time to zoom out etc...I really like the zoom feature of mini but at the same time I NEED tabbed browsing from Mobile...when is it gonna combine haih...

anyone here tried modding the G900 menu? dang, I tried to copy the files to C and D drive respectively, using Swiss Manager but failed each time! need some help here, anyways! I got this message, "0 item(s)" pasted or "0 item(s) copied"...all the damn time! urgh!
