gt 3 ways to go do it.
1)get d icon and replace 1 by one.
2)use gdesk
3)get a d theme and hack ur fon to make d icons default. similar to d black iphone icons available in dotsis.

but, shouldn't the phone itself not show this prob? im wondering if its my sim card or my phone. Anyone of you having this prob when trying to copy contacts to sim?

edit : i tried myphoneexplorer too, seems to be able to view phone contacts, but no options to allow me to copy from contacts to sim

hv u tried the update guide on the 1st page?
btw bro, do u on the transition at setting? if u on it, try to disable it by control panel > device > transition > off ----can improve the speed a little bit
the basic way to update use the SEUS downloaded from SE web, but if u wanna change the CDA to WG1 then use the XS++ to change (refer pg 1) then after that update via SEUS

I'm planning to get this phone. Actually deciding between the C702 and the P1i. Any comments on which is better?

Here is the scenario. I'm planning to change my HTC Touch (1st Gen) to another phone. I currently have a E71 for my work purpose. So, I only use the HTC for personal calls and sms, maybe sometimes taking pictures. Thats why thinking of changing to another phone. Anybody here can help me decide.

Also would like to know, if I buy an AP phone which I was quoted about RM1050 for it in Lowyat Plaza, how do I get updates with SEUS? Can I still use SEUS to do updates. Never bought an AP phone b4 .... so dunno....

Any comments on which phone is more suitable is much appreciated....

I can tell you that AP or ori phone, both also can update with SEUS (update by connecting to your PC), hack, mod, install stuff etc etc. Only difference will be the warranty offered and of course, the price.

My boss used to have a HTC Touch. I see him use it also I feel pening for him.

Lol.. Guess that.. All sifu's were on vacation. Thanks for information man. Regarding to ur 1st solution, replace the icon 1 by 1. How do u do that? Its the menu icon which i cant any way to change the icon. Or maybe i had missed up something? Do tell me.

Edit:

Regarding to Gdesk that u mentioned, is the application need to be fire up all the time so the icon interface will be changed? Will it auto run once the phone is boot up?

2nd p1i price now base on 600 ~ 700 like that... ofcoz can get cheaper that the price i meantion .. but the phone condition will be not so good...

beside using the file manager.. u can try
GO to ,main menu -> then multimedia -> then picture gallery. .choose the folder u want to view.. from here u can use the side button to scroll up or down to c the following pic or previous pic.

hi guys, i did some test regarding the issue of trying to copy phone contacts into a 3G sim card that kept getting 'overflow' error and it seems to be the phone's operating system itself at fault.

1. i tried copying my contacts from phone to sim, 'overflow' error.
2. i tried another sim card on the phone, 'overflow' error.
3. i tried moving my sim card into my k800, copy all contacts to sim, success.

the verdict is...UIQ itself at fault?? you guys not having this prob? i got the latest firmtware btw.

Sorry, my contact list only goes from phone to SIM card, not vice versa. If I want to transfer to another phone I bluetooth it all.

Added on September 5, 2008, 9:17 amNever encounter this problem before. Either you have a dodgy unit or cable. Maybe you can try bringing your phone to SE service centre and ask them to do it for you. If they also can't means you have a dodgy unit.

Hi, instead of pressing the 'c' button you can try using the '@' button on the left of the phone. That will able you to flash the phone. Hope that's help.

yeah, i meant copying from phone to SIM, got problem.

But what if you want to transfer from sony ericsson phones to nokia phones? or other types of phones? need sim card

AP sets should be around RM1K or less now. original sets still retails around RM1.4K. it's okay to get an AP set as long as you get it from a reputable AP company such as BBS, Telstra, Pacific, Asia Mobile etc as the warranty coverage is almost the same now, the only difference would sometimes be the service.

get it from out online sellers here. they offer quite a competitive price and good services. try to PM sellers like Renee, she has a good track record.
