Just use Opera Mini for the time being, its good

latest opera mobile 9.x still not release yet for our p1i
for me, so far opera mini 4.1 already good
hell lot better than opera mobile 8.x

why i can't receive mms when no 3g coverage. is my setting wrong?
if got 3g..no problem

actually, there are betas of it being ran on the phone so i thought maybe someone had it.

opera mini i found it to be a tad slower than opera mobile, and don't have tabbing support so when i click on links that needs to pop up a window, it won't work.

as for opera mobile 8.x vs opera mini 4.1, in terms of speed, i dont see the opera mobile can beat opera mini 4.1 n base on other review on website, most2 user mentioned opera mini 4.1 perform faster than the old opera mobile 8.x

step to setting phone receive mms with n without 3g coverage.


Step 1:

Main Menu > Control panel > Connections > Internet accounts

i Press MORE > New account > Data

ii Account name : Celcom 3G

iii Address : celcom3g

iv Press MORE > Proxy

v MARK "Use proxy server"

vi Proxy server address : 010.128.001.242

vii Proxy server port : 8080

viii Press Save (2X)

Step 2 :

Main Menu > Messaging

i Press More > Settings > MMS account

ii Service center address : http://mms.celcom.net.my

iii Internet account : Celcom 3G

iv Auto Download : On

v Download Size: No restrictions

vi Press Save

P/s: If you having the said problem, it is due to the APN is not configured. When you're under Celcom3G coverage, Celcom will update your APN but when you're not in 3G coverage, system doesn't update your APN and so you have to configure the APN manually.

Pls follow exactly small letter on all the words in bold. Should be no prob. Gd luck.

Seriously, that not even a BETA version.
The only Opera 9.5 mobile BETA released was for Windows Mobile OS.

The one shown on p1iblog just a testing version by either Sony Ericsson/Opera/website reviewer, do not get confuse of it.
