2 hp blower is already quite large and sufficient for my landed living room, so I think it should fit yours unless you stay in a big bungalow with loft ceiling.  If you need higher hp, I suggest you mount another 1 hp or 2 hp at another location for more even distribution of cold air.  Else it will be freezing cold at the 3 hp blower and warm at other dead corners.

hi guys, appreciate your assist, how to know max capacity of air cond your house electricity load can support before tripping.. ? my house is single phase and my main switch has 63amp fuse... im planning to install 3nos of 1hp for each room upstairs and 2hp at living room.. is this ok? thanks

Fridge, water boiler pot, small microwave, small oven and washing machine... I dont have hot water heater or dryer.. May also install Petit coway water filter later, which has hot n cold drinking water supply..

Last time acson OEM from York, both the remote can be use. My brother room acson, I can use my York remote to control. York famous for fast cooling, but blower are louder.

Not cheated you, I'm the user for what I usage everyday.

Current I own hitachi DC inverter for Others Room indoor air flaw noise really worst than Mitsubishi Electric StarMex inverter for my Living hall and masterbed room.

Hitachi Noisy at low speed still can near the air flaw noise.
Starmex got quiet mode at 19db only. For low speed at 21db that's can't hear any noise at all.

This one ahh... You got screw driver and open up the casing and clean out all the water drain for jelly thing.

Also use and same size of strew slot in on indoor drain pipe and use mouth to blow with air mixed with water too.

Can be blow out as many dust & jelly until the water running smoothly with not stuck at all, then put back the while casing with screw back that so..

Even silent mode also can't flight. The air flaw noise can be killing my ear.. Lol
What ever installed already just face to usage until spoiled and change into Mitsubishi electric starmex

No worried,, that claim from my Aircond contractor.
Cause due to vibrator until the sliding door got sound..lol
Cause I'm lucky to chosen inverter type.

I knew that, cause my 1st aircond is non inverter mah, panasonic, hitachi & York from Singapore of split unit, in 1 outdoor inside got 2 compressor.

Daikin ah.. nothing special.. don't easy clean model..

even buy york inverter also enjoy the same cooling.. 

from what i knew on daikin R22 pre model is using AC inverter..

that's why i go with hitachi & Mitsubishi electric.. even my friend in singapore is aircond contractor he also said Daikin ah... you want the brand and not want do more repair works.

For last time I asked is more expansive then Starmex inverter

Either the air-cond is not effficient (blower clogged with fur hence reduction in airflow, quite normal happen), or something wrong with the air-cond or room itself not properly closed/insulated etc reason.

For non-inverter
Temperature setting on the remote control, is for the compressor to shut down when achieved the temp.
There is a thermo-sensor to detect the air-temperature inside/around the blower.

So whether you set 22 or 25, it makes little different. If the temperature is not reached 22/25, the compressor will be running 100%, be it you set it 18,20, or 26, if the temperature of room air is not reaching there.
Compressor will only stop running when the thermo-sensor sense the temperature of the air drop to the set temperature in the remote control.

While for inverter.
It is still the same working mechanism, except when the compressor can be running at 50%, if the air temperature start dropping to near the set temperature.

Eg. when room air is 30, while setting of remote is 25, the compressor running at full speed to cool the air.
But when it senses the room temperature become 27 already, then compressor slowdown to 50%,
when it senses become 26, the compressor slowdown to 20%.

This is how inverter can save electricity.

Some have variable speed. But not sure which model and brand. I read it in their marketing material.

many years back, i was using daikin inverter 1.5hp with R22 gas in my master room (15ft x 15ft). during the months with hot weather, it took quite some time (~1gr) to cool down the room as part of a side of a wall is facing afternoon sun.

now, i'm thinking of fixing mitsubishi elec starmex 1.5hp which uses the new gas. will it perform similarly as daikin inverter, ie not cooling enough? or is it starmex has higher cooling capacity/btu due to newer gas? or i need a starmex 2hp?

PS: cant really find the btu for starmex 1.5hp in the web site to compare against daikin inverter 1.5hp.

Will 2hp will be over kill for 15x15 ft bedroom?

wanna get more cooling and saving more, just go with Starmex inverter guaranty you set in 25-26 degree good enough, even place outside of window still quiet in working.. easy clean and bigger condenser can keep more faster cooling time..

Cause you never appreciate with inverter Aircon.

Unless I recommended with daikin brand then you have no comments right
