QUOTE(Kiding @ Nov 30 2012, 08:53 PM) Just install Mitsubishi inverter MSY-GE13VA today, the compressor and indoor unit are damn quiet compare to my previous Hitachi inverter aicond, I'm regret and should have got it earlier. Mitsubishi Electric inverter aircond is now called Starmex , no longer Mr Slim. No, non inverter type still name Mr Slim...

QUOTE(jutamind @ Dec 1 2012, 06:44 AM) Anyone has issue of Mitsubishi Electric Mr Slim 1.5HP non inverter making the noise "tak tak" especially the moment the compressor kicks in, after the thermostat sound after a few hours of usage. The tak tak sound is not the thermostat sound. Initially i thought it's the sound of swing, but even when i turn off swing, i still get the tak tak sound. I realize this tak tak sound only comes out after 1 year plus of usage. the unit i'm using now is the 2nd unit i have, after complaining to Melco Sales on this tak tak sound. they swap a new unit for me, and now this sound recur again.... PS: I did chemical wash like once a year and not sure whether the sound is related to parts destroyed by the chemical wash. Using the same AC. Do not face this problem after 3 months of usage. Will the contractor caused this problem?

QUOTE(Shazzac @ Dec 13 2012, 04:00 PM) Just wanted to query. My air con installer insist that he should hack the wall and check if the copper pipe is bended (my developer got install those wiring, pipe etc dy in the wall). Should i just tell him to just install the air con and not hack the wall? Thanks! Installer are worry if install the ac immediately, they will need to responsible any problem after that( exmp ac not cold). Which is not fair to them if the caused is from the developer's wiring and piping, not from the workmanship.

QUOTE(nafizz @ Apr 4 2013, 05:46 PM) Hi, I need your opinions regarding the quality and price of the aircon.. The price might be a little expensive in Perlis. I just came back from the aircon shop. Went to look for which air con to buy . House is too hot..Weather is around 41 degrees celcius! I need one aircon for my sitting room which is 15 ft x 27 with direct sunlight. Is 2 HP enough? Usually one or 2 person only in my sitting room. I use the room like 8-9 hours per day. I heard alot about Mitsubishi and the salesman showed me a normal mitsubishi with 4 air flows 2HP around RM2299 including installation. Then there's another one 2HP mitsubishi 3D with 8 airflows ( meaning it flows to the top, bottom, right, left and everywhere) around RM2699 including installation. The salesman says the 3D one saves energy and self cleaning. Anyone using this mitsubishi 3D aircon? It is good and saves energy? Is the price too expensive? Should I get the normal mitsubishi at RM2299 or the 3D one? Or panasonic better? Thanks in advance 2HP should be enough, but depand on how cool the room you want to be. Since ur usage is 8 hours per day, try to get inverter AC and it will save on ur electric bill. I am using 1HP, 1.5HP and 2HP Mitsubushi Mr Slim at my home, all working well, cools and silent.
