Recently I bought this LG 15KG Inverter - TV2515DV3B to replace my >15 years old 12kg Toshiba which is due with many small issues and leaking.
The new WM is very quiet. The energy rating is super good.

Maybe you can check those 9 to 12kg ones. Anyway what is your budget range ?

Yup, the size is compact and pretty good if you only do light laundry on daily basis.

And is it true that for front load, we needed to constantly clean the rubber or something at the entrace there as the dirt will often accumulates there?

i just wipe it dry and leave the door open so moisture won't get trapped

instead of dirt the bigger issue would be mold if you close the door when the rubber is not dry enough

6 motion DD is the 6 motion patented LG wash motion pattern for direct drive washing machines.

AIDD is Artificial Intelligence Direct Drive, where it senses the fabric type (softness, hardness, and weight etc) and then decide which of the 6 motions it want to use or maintain just 3 out 6 motions etc.

AIDD is reserved for higher end models and lower end ones, get 6 motion DD which is already better in washing efficiency compared to other normal washing machine which do not have recirculating water feature.

If have budget, better to get LG with Turbo Wash feature as that significantly reduces wash time without compromising wash results.

Try not to use Softener, often the softener is the main culprit for gunk build up.

Also, do perform a tub clean cycle every 30 days or if your machine lacks tub clean cycle, then just run it at the hottest cycle with 1 cup vinegar or washing machine cleaner solution (like dettol washing machine cleaner)

Not every fabric is suitable for Turbo Wash and there's a weight limit, you are not utilising the full capacity of the washer.

Also AI DD only works for Cotton, Mixed Fabric and Easy Care mode
