thumbup.gif nice piece of information! Anyway, like the door handle (outer ring, more convenient) compare to the conventional handle hidden in inner ring.
ic ic, mod the spring rate then  brows.gif

Actually if you has wash over 6-8kg cloths should prefer to buy an oversize such as 12-14kg there is help much from spring or mounting issue.

Nowaday never worried about used much water, the technology would detect the weight and input water level.

Just the problem may buy smaller size and put over weight cloths can be killing the spring or mounting become not last longer smile.gif

If getting Panasonic, I'd suggest getting extended warranty as the 10kg model shock absorber quality is questionable. As for reliability, I am using NA140VX3 since 2012 and had one service call this year due to coins stuck in the sump just before the drain pump causing water unable to be pump out and clothes stuck inside the machine due to this. Avoided Electrolux because of this reason and it happened with the Panasonic as well.

It doesn't sound right if this model have problem and suggest to pay extend warranty. Why want to do that?

Is this a trend now ppl choose to pay extend warranty because want to buy a problem machine? hmm.gif

If you know the WM have " Nowaday never worried about used much water, the technology would detect the weight and input water level.", how can it over weight and kill the spring or mounting?

The extended warranty is for peace of mind operability, most appliances these days breakdown by the time they reach 5 years of age. The price of this machine + the extended warranty = to the electrolux machine with standard 1 year warranty. Hence, I decided to go with this one instead smile.gif

Like this should get a higher load washer. Assuming an average of 5 times a day in 360 days is like subjecting it equivalent of = (5x360)/220* = 8.1 years use in 1 year. But why do that?

*IEC/EN 60456 rates annual energy and water consumption for a mix type wash of various temperature in 220 washes. Just a rough guideline/yardstick. Our mileage may vary

Wash 4 times daily really can't kill those machine motor or mounting or PCB control.

For normal household 1 day per one.

A WM bought is to use, now I understand why your WM does not vibrates after 2 years, because it is just for cosmetic purpose and to boast how "superior" it is compare to other Japanese brands.
Wash 4-6 times a day is not considered over used. My house when during new year time can wash up to 8 times and it still last me for 8 years.

A WM won't safe water at any 1 time, if you are talking of saving water, hand wash is the best for you. Want eco friendly? Don't use air cond as it generates CO, CO2 and other acid rain causing agents. Use detergent will polute the water

On weekends, our machine is run 3 times a day. As I separate delicate items, from dark items and so on. During festival it can go up to 4 to 5 times a day, typical washing machine should not have problem handling such loads.

From my experience, don't buy Sharp washing machines. I own a front loader and the door has broken down twice. Price of a plastic door from sharp is RM300, that's more than 20% of the whole machine. Screw them, getting rid of my machine and never buying anything from Sharp again.

How old is the machine?. Is this for the whole door assembly or just the door catch? The cost of the door is about there for any machine. Even my old front load machine door cost is about there. The door assembly is that filmsy?

Machine's about 5 years, only the small part where you press in is not functioning, not sure if it's called a catch, but was informed will need to change the whole door, for the second time in a year. price is for the whole door.

the whole economics of the situation is not right. i don't think the do a factory run just for my door because it is an outdated model or else it would cost more than 300. so it's down to either a) they didn't make enough spares, ie bad inventory management or b) their product is so crap that they've exhausted their spares, ie bad product. None of which can justify loading the expenses onto customers.
