I bought Hitachi R-W750FPM, paid deposit, but not yet pay full as OCT i only move in.
my one is silver color
Hitachi R-W750FPMX is stainless steel, bout RM300-400 more expensive.

I got fren using Hitachi R-W750FPMX stainless steel one too, very satisfied, that's why i am following her footstep.
*
What is the price range that you paid for this fridge? I am also considering to get the R-W750FPMX, currently using a Sharp Fridge which is 14 years old.

RM2980 HLK SS2 for R-W750FPM. R-W750FPMX might need Rm3300-3400 now
I also bought couple of thg like 4 fans, aircons. so the total price is cheaper than above one.
*
3300 - 3400 is their normal retail price for the R-W750FPMX?

The retail price bout RM3800-3900 if not mistaken
but most of the electrical shop discount till bout RM3300-3400.

The X means stainless steel door, about RM300-400 extra compare to the one without X (Silver door).
But the functionality are the same, both also dual fan
*
Because I checked TBM and Harvey Norman, they are selling it between 4500 and 4700, that's a big difference

What about Hitachi's Premium Intelligent Made-in-Japan series of fridges? Any reviews? Comments?
*
The power consumption seems pretty awesome, but the price tag is very prohibitive and I'm not sure how long it'll take to break even. Only don't like the design with too many compartments as this wastes space, even some French Door like Sharp have centre separator for the freezer compartment and this is waste of space to me.

Currently eyeing the Hitachi French door, will wait for garage sale or something to grab it.

Is there a difference in warranty for the intelligent series and other Htachi models? Personally, I like the external look of say, Samsung, but quality-wise I've read so many bad reviews about the brand. And my top choice would have been Sub-Zero  drool.gif  (still a way, far, far away dream) but the price tag isn't going to gel with our budget.  cry.gif

Not sure about the warranty, but if you have that kind of budget, then why not look at Mitsubishi Folio series which are also fully imported from Japan.

Received my Hitachi R-W750FPMX, The fridge arrived at 1pm yesterday and we powered it on at 7pm yesterday. By 7am this morning, I saw the indicator is already at Eco; the whole of yesterday it was running on full power. As for the noise, there is some noise but not very noisy, will test the reading today. Can barely hear the sound, or probably because we immune to the sound of our old Sharp Fridge.

Ya it is like this.
It will be OK after a while. ur one is stainless steel right?

Mine is the french door with auto ice maker. The noise measured is between 35 to 44 dB using line tool app. When first switched on, the sides were hot to touch. Now its normal already

QUOTE(ozak @ Jun 21 2014, 07:53 AM)
It is normal to be hot for the side, top or back. Depend the condenser capillary placement. When fridge try to remove the heat from inside, the compressor will run max. The gas will carry the heat out from inside. Compress it and become super heat. Than go over to the condenser to be cool down gradually.

The fridge wall is act like your skin try to sweep away the heat that the blood line carried. When you workout. Once the fridge reach the temperature you set, it will slow down and the heat reduce.

You can try again by off the fridge and open the door. Let it get back to room temperature and start again the fridge. The wall will be very hot again. Another is, defrost the fridge.

So don't worry about it. Just make sure it have enough space to dissipate the heat.
*
Thanks for your explanation but when compared to my sharp fridge first run, this one is way hotter. Now its normalised.

ok let us know. didnt somebody say can apply some rubber substance to the compressor pump to reduce noise?
strange my friend has one of those big french units and he didnt complain ada noise. i asked him twice. he said ok nothing too disturbing.
*
Yup my Big French also does not have this noise, I am using RW-750FPMX for nearly a month now. Wanted a fridge with water dispenser and now I realise its a waste of space as the water reservoir can only hold water for four mugs max @1.2l. Disappointed with that but otherwise happy with the fridge.

How much ventilation space do we need for our refrigerator actually? I'm interested to get Hitachi R-W750FPMX which it says it need 300mm for ventilation space at top, i think this space is too big which make the kitchen cabinet looks ugly. Do we really have to follow the instruction, i was thinking to leave 50mm-100mm. Anyone using similar model and do not leave 300mm space at top? Appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

I am using this model, definitely did not give 300mm space on top of the fridge; only have about 10 to 12cm at most.

Trust me, if you were to buy basic appliances, the so-called extended warranty are useless.
But for LED TVs, yes is better to get extended warranty.
*
For inverter equipment (such as fridge) also better to have extended warranty, as this inverter equipment rely on electronics which will likely fail within 3 years of fair usage if they have defect, for other basic equipments it is not required.

i think for most of inverter fridge, the basic common failure will be motherboard itself? other than that i think all good to go. thats why i bought 5 years extra insurance which cover 1-1 new fridge if they dont have spare parts
*
Yup correct, Not just for fridge but all inverter equipment including washing machine, air conditioners and of course LED/LCD TV

Mine is virtually noiseless, unless I switch off everything and try to hear the sound, then I can get the sound. I am using the French Door Hitachi fridge for about 8 months now.

any problem faced so far ?

sound problem like what people were saying ?

I already mentioned above there, that there are no abnormal sounds. However, if you intend to buy Hitachi; better not go through Sen Heng as I had called for service due to water leaking from under the fridge (initially suspect the fridge but turns out the leak was from somewhere else) but the service guy came only after 3 days of my complaint and the complaint for service has to be made via SenHeng which slows everything down.

I am not sure if this is SenHeng SOP for all items sold by them and all brands must strictly adhere to this or something.

At that time, they were having offer and I managed to get the Fridge at RM4500 + 3 years extended warranty and also could further offset the price by my credit card points. smile.gif

Your refrigerator does not have warranty?
*
Gas leak is due to compressor? Compressor warranty is 10 or 12 years for Hitachi if not mistaken.

Mine going to be two years now and has developed a loud high pitched whining sound when motor is operating at max power. 750FPMX (French Door). Definitely louder than our old Sharp Fridge.

The dimension of the fridge itself is 912mm, which most likely may not fit the allocated space

Hi, does anyone know of any good maintenance person to check on my Hitachi fridge. Stopped working last night.. lights on but no chill/cold. Cheras area.

p/s Sorry if it's not appropriate to post this request here.

Where are you based and is it under warranty? I have contact for a freelance guy based at KL. He repaired our fridge at a fraction of the cost.

Hi people,

I'm looking to upgrade my Toshiba fridge to a 4 door french bottom around 700L

I found a seller for Sharp SJF83MSL for RM2,900.00 shipping included

http://www.sharp.com.my/pageRender?msgCont...odCode=SJF83MSL

This price seems to be too good to be true, could it be dodgy/display unit?
*
Can check out the actual unit?
