I booked to watch Episode 7 on Sunday at 10:30pm. A WHOLE 4 DAYS LATE! Contemplating going to Berjaya Times Square to watch it first.

Looking forward to watching the first Star Wars movie with an aging Luke, Han, and Leia, supported by a host of new and younger characters, soon... I've been a Star Wars fan since school days, back in the 90s, and love all the movies - especially the original trilogy! rclxms.gif

At the same time, Mid Valley had a big Star Wars event last weekend and that got my Star Wars fanboy-ism going - resulting in a purchase of three Hot Wheels die-cast models (Millennium Falcon, TIE Fighter, X-Wing) and a Darth Vader Lego Buildable Figure! laugh.gif

I saw some of you having tickets for the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And never knew that the cinema operators open up advance bookings for the movie, all this while! ohmy.gif

Looks like it's too late for me to get good dates and seats for this very long-awaited movie then (which, unfortunately, also clashes with my trip to Langkawi, a few days after December 17)! sad.gif

Very true, I was just talking about theater performance in general, especially when we can have dolby ATMOS at home now. No questions about the cinema of course, there's no other way for new films. That is why I was looking for the best available right now. Unless it's the real IMAX, the ones we have in Malaysia feel fake for me, and the sound just too loud without authority. My opinion of course.

No matter how good home systems may be, nothing beats 1st viewing at a cinema hall. Plus, it'll only be legally available in respective formats at home after 3-6 months. U can Dust it in the meantime tongue.gif

Hmmm, maybe I'll have to watch "The Force Awakens" in Langkawi, as there's a small cinema in Kuah, where I'm staying. Although I won't be surprised that the place will be full, as the locals there will surely be checking out that movie too! laugh.gif

Either that or wait until I'm back home and watch the movie in the local theaters here instead! thumbup.gif

Definitely, this should be the ultimate choice for Dolby ATMOS, where overhead effects will be utilized the most. Imagine a giant Star Destroyer floating above you entering the screen coupled with tremendous low frequencies. And those X-Wings and TIE fighters zapping by left, right and above. Dolby ATMOS was made for this.

Not sure about GSC MAXX though, heard some complaints about bad picture quality. But I haven't tried so don't take my word for it. smile.gif

Have you experienced the GSC Maxx yourself? I would assume that Star Wars would be in 3D and if what you say is true then I don't think it'll be good.
I've gotten tickets for the 20th to watch at TGV Imax 3D but I want to watch it earlier!

As of now, not sure about TrU Midvalley, but yesterday I saw 3 Yoda Lightsabers & 2 Vader Lightsabers at TrU KLCC.

RM809 is ok I think. Toygarden is selling around RM799 & currently out of stock.

Which hall do you always go? I think I'm going to watch 2D on Wednesday midnight and go ahead and watch Imax 3D on Sunday again.

First time I saw Adam Driver was in the movie 'This Is Where I Leave You' (2014)

Tall but not pleasant looking laugh.gif

Looks; John Boyega > Adam Driver.
