hey . the chepeast plan for singtel is ioneplus which cost $25.68 per month rite?? and pay 698 for the iphone....
i got fren in singapore..
will ask her sign up the plan.. her month usage only around $15 so i pay $10 permonth for her..
so $10x24 months contract=$240
registration fee is $10.70 and sim card charge is $32.10.
and pay $698 for iphone.
so total i need to pay for the iphone 8gb is $240+$10.70+$32.10+$698=$980.8
convert to malaysia ringgit is $980.8X2.34=RM2295!!
i think it is cheap to get an unlock iphone for that price..
any comment?
tell me if i m wrong.. thanks.

How about if we Malaysians were able to find a student to sign up for us the following student plan:

(Student) iOneSuperValue >> SGD 15/month

Student plans are given a SGD50 discount on the iPhone handsets. Assuming this follows the iOne Plus handset rate, student plan iPhones 16GB will cost SGD 798.

So in total with the minimum 2 year contract, that would cost us (15*24months + 798) = SGD1158 / MYR2700+. That price seems alright. We get the phone and we pay the lucky student one lump sum to use a plan for 2 years. Only thing is student cannot use iPhone which suits me fine...hah. If you're really cheapskate, you could always negotiate to only pay for 1 years plan tongue.gif

no worry.
let me help u think in another way, mayb can comfort u tongue.gif

1. no $15 plan in singtel, i guess ur fren using prepaid rite???
2. if using prepaid, she has no chance get hp package fm singtel
3. if using prepaid, no free incoming calls (unless paid extra 60cts/day or extra $18/mth for whole day free incoming)
4. if she help u sign up ioneplus plan, u shld help her settle all costs (reg fee, SIM card, .... incl $5/mth caller ID VAS, bcoz prepaid c/w free caller ID), and she oli paid $15/mth, if her usage not exceed free air time

overall is win-win 4 both sides, bcoz u got fone, n she got extra call time (maybe), free incoming call (worth $18/mth), extra sms (maybe)

btw, she able renew contract aft 21mths (not 24tmhs), if she really wan2 get hp wif contract (cheap) price.

Hey all... I've got my sealed iPhone 3G from Singapore. I repeat, "Sealed unit from Singapore!''

I have successfully activate it using US iTunes account and it works perfectly with Malaysian sim cards (Maxis, Celcom & Digi). rclxm9.gif

For those who planning to get it from Singapore, there's nothing to be worried...

Yup, i think it's same with NZ unit... Since i'm maxis user, so i'm only able to test the Maxis 3G... But it shouldn't be a problem with celcom 3G and edge...

If you pass the custom by foot, you almost guarantee WON'T be checked.
Just remember don't bring those fansy, new looking carrying bag.
It is like you buying something expensive, and tell those officer to "check and tax me, kkthk"

But if you drive Msia Car, and coming back Msia. Most important also don't show any fansy carrying bag. Most of the time they will check those Msia car one. Just dont let them see.
