mr ah khoo... did u try lowering HT link and NB both to 1600mhz when trying to oc ur B2?

mine could boot at 2.7ghz at stock volts... not prime stable
voltage might not be the issue since no matter how much I add also won't be stable..

sad to say that i can't adjust d nb multi as there's no such option in bios mate... that's why i think i need a b.e chip badly if i can't get rid of figures fever outta my head...

gotta agree that b2 aint respondin well w/ voltage, excessive voltage mite cause instability...

That is very hard to answer u
Take mine as an example.... a B2 9500 ( 2.2ghz default )

210 HTT = ( 2.310ghz ) prime stable stock volts
220 HTT = ( 2.420ghz ) prime stable stock volts
230 HTT = ( 2.530ghz ) prime stable stock volts
240 HTT = ( 2.640ghz ) prime stable only for 1 hour on stock volts ( no matter how much I increase vcore its not stable )
246 HTT = ( 2.706ghz ) stock volts able to boot into windows ( BSOD or freeze after a few minutes using windows )

mine 2.507GHz... 11.5 x 218.

ic ic... will do some homework when i'm free then...

whenever htt is too high, mine only managed to make it to d splash screen, after that, blank screen...

oh thanks.. ur default clock is 1.25v?
have tried increase the vdimm.. sometimes need more to push high cpu speed..

haha.. mr ah khoo, are we both going to take a dive and grab BE?
i'll freakout if after i buy BE only can oc to 2.7 or 2.8... waste money then LOL

That is indeed my plan. But you know la, sometimes feel the rush or impluse to buy.....

I might not even buy SB750, i'll see how reviews look on it first.
Its a hunch, but I think SB750 will not help oc phenom better actually... marketing gimmick.
Change mobo and proc just to get an extra 200mhz??? hmmm....

yup, if i'm to get a b.e, i wud expect atleast 2.9GHz... but if new board can brin our b2 to 2.8GHz, then investin on new board would be wiser choice imo...


well, i'm puttin my bet on sb750 boards thou... d only thing that will hinder me is d data migration as i'm on raid 0. change of mobo means everything need to be back up & re transfer again, lotsa work there...

for 65nm, 9950 seems to be d last hope, but price wise still abit steep...

am2+ htt link is 1.8k*2 by default, so 1.8~2.0k*2 still safe imo...

no.. i'm not talking cpu side.. maybe it's due to mobo limitation..
if the board capable doing >2k then ok..
u know la.. AM2+ mobo also donno can fully support or not.. bios/hardware etc..
that's why i want to test it later.. the only confirm support is my mobo capable doing >300HTT n >1.5k HT Link..

budget around RM500++. can i get a full solid cap mobo with this price?
currently using Asus M2N-E with Athlon X2 6000+, very unsatisfy with it...

not so sure w/ d price over there but if u die die must get one w/o waitin for sb750 boards, msi's k9a2 plat is a gud choice.

htt for am2+ & am2 is diff mah... for sure d board can run 3.6k, but it depends on what chip ur runnin...

Hmmm i remember i've read at tgdaily and also at fudzilla that sb750 supposed to bump phenom multi higher abit.. giving us free 200-300mhz?

some news about unlocking the 6 hidden multi pins on a phenom.
I wonder does it apply to B2's...

Hidden pins?Means there's some pins that not activated fully?
