I was just going to say i've spent nearly 10 times more than you had just on Nerf, but then you added the kid part.

Understandable, when I was a kid, even RM20 was a lot.

EDIT: Then I started doing odd jobs around the neighborhood and earned RM80 a week, more than enough to buy whatever I wanted during the time.

Toys R Us now selling ammo for buzzbee double shot and rapid fire, specifically the cartridge shells for them, which is nice since I've lost about 6 out of the 20 or so i bought for my double shot.

QUOTE(Omnitricks @ Feb 11 2010, 11:01 PM)
longshot or recon better?
*
Longshot:
- Secondary Backup Gun if for some reason you used the attachment.
- Intimidation factor.

Longshot Modded:
- Better firepower/range than Recon can hope to achieve even via mods.

Recon
- Has a Pistol Form.
- Has three rails (with barrel).
- Comes with Red Light (Pseudo Laser).
- Underside Rail can be used to hold that one smaller Single Shot Nerf whose name escapes me at this time. (Load one dart, carry 5 more, sold in packs of two with visor and tag vest)

Both:
- Ability to use Red Dot Sight (Nerf Pinpoint Sight)/Scope
- Ability to use CS-35 Drum Magazines (Especially Funny/Scary on the Recon Pistol)

Basic Mods for Both:
- AR Mod: Increased Range
- Spring/Reinforcement: More Range.
- Tagger Mod: Ability to fire Taggers, which are usually a hundred times more accurate than Streamlines.

Unlikely bro. Anything resembling a magazine (clip) won't be sold in large quantities in Malaysia for some obscenely stupid reason.

The most I have ever seen is like 3 packs of clips in SJ TRU with like 20 boxes of Recons and 20 more Longshots.

Was that even related to Nerf, other than for importing?

First of all,

QUOTE(Me @ Feb 28 2010, 11:00 PM)
Nerf Gathering March 13th at Outpost, Cathay Cineplex in E@curve(previously known as Cineleisure Damansara).

I have been talking to Richard, and we have come to an agreement. If you have own, or have access to, or are interested in Nerf, you are invited to come to Outpost on the 13th of March after 5pm.

We'll talk Nerf, do some target practice (if we can borrow a tech target =P), and have some drinks.

QUOTE(zerohavoc318 @ Feb 28 2010, 09:41 PM)
im new here and i dont know any thing about nerf, but i interested with longshot(sniper),can any tell me the best longshot and fast dart fire please
or in other word a more like sniper rifle(real scope, long barrel).....is it expensive?
*
Longshot is obviously the most sniper-like, but to get good ranges you will need to do some modifications, mainly to remove the Air Restrictors. For added accuracy, you will either have to modify the longshot even further to accept sonic/tagger darts, OR make your own darts.

Longstrike is a slightly underpowered longshot, but by no means bad.

Recon is agreed to be the worst but still solid in my opinion.

Raider... I dunno what the opinion on this is. I don't like it.

But if you don't care about what your weapon will look like... then the Nite Finder and Switch Shots have the most powerful springs. Modified, they are extremely powerful - but still not as powerful as a compressed air blaster.

Bought Longstrike at Outpost, RM 149.90.

Can I append something about the Switchshot EX-3?

It's RM90, at the Video Game store on the Third Floor Bangsar Shopping Complex. Not cheap, but if you have a Wii, it's nice. Plus, it's got a spring that's almost as good as the Nite Finder's. Modded, it shoots almost as hard, with a few disadvantages being the spring strength, and the barrel length (way too short).

Never tried, i usually load it with black foam sonic darts, but I'm sure the orange foam sonic darts won't fit.

Also...

Nerf Gathering delayed by one day, so it's now on the 14th (this Sunday)! Time will be reconfirmed later.

No Nerf war in Outpost Cafe, we're just having a gathering. It was a bit too short notice, and the gathering isn't being hosted by Outpost. Well it is on their premises, but I was the one who badgered Richard (from Outpost) into it.

The idea was that our last gathering was 1 year+ ago (Terminator Nerf event) and nothing has happened since then.

Even if we only get 6 people to show up, we can still showcase weapons, exchange tips, etc. and the most important part - plan for future Nerf Wars.

The only thing i regret about the vulcan is losing darts a lot faster than i should and spending too much money on batteries. Energizers go a long way, but the cost of replacing them is through the roof, while Evereadies (neveready lol) are cheap but need to be replaced often if you use them a lot.
