huh ? that's not waiving off your fee, that's using ur point to exchange for it. Somemore i saw the annual fee for the card is RM 600. So far i tried Cimb , MBB , SCB , Amex, and HSBC . They give waiver on call. the one never tried is MBF and Citibank.

QUOTE(ckryan @ Sep 29 2008, 12:40 PM) The fastest way is to request upgrade from the bank from time to time when you need increase for limit. Nowadays most bank has the upgrade form for you to download from their website, just fill and fax back to them , really fast and hassle free.. |

QUOTE(LoveMeNot @ Oct 3 2008, 04:52 PM) im a total noob when it comes to cc usage cos i rarely used it. anyway, my question is. By right you dont need to apply for it as long as your CC limit is sufficient and the DELL merchant has Citibank EPP plan. You should be able to get the instalment plan ive just purchased a dell laptop using my citibank cc under the flexi payment plan. But according to dell, it got rejected. what is the problem? do i have to like apply for the plan or?? thankssss in advance |

You qualify for HSBC Premier if you maintain an average monthly Total Relationship Balance of RM200,000 or more, which includes your Premier Savings, FlexiTime Deposit, Unit Trusts and Structured Investments at HSBC.
Should your average Total Relationship Balance drop below RM200,000, a Below Balance Fee of RM150 will be applied for the month. |

QUOTE(cannavaro @ Oct 4 2008, 01:27 AM) Out of curiousity, I checked out the minimum income requirement to be eligible for a CC for the major banks and to my surprise, Maybank's the highest - 30k annual income for classic/standard. i saw it too and sometime i think it is just a plain " requirement " and when the bank issue the card , i dont see they have any difference on the CL with other bank. But indeed MBB and HSBC card requirement are higher a bit than other bank Has it always been like this or did they raise the bar during last year or so? |

maybank does issue a classic card with 3k limit too, so far they didn't spoilt their card standard by giving low limit to their gold or platinum card like other bank.

QUOTE(hye @ Oct 5 2008, 09:40 PM) Wait till you hear what's the entry level CL for RHB's VISA Infinite. It is RM200K ... yes ... you heard me right. I thought the infinite card can be applied? The annual income i think is around 380k to qualified for the card, which mean 31.6k per month, 200k limit is way too high for that income. Anyone here holding that card ? But indeed Rhb does give quite decent limit for their card, like their platinum requirement are only 60k per annum, but they give out 25k limit minimum. Before anyone here can get excited about this ... of course getting this card is not easy. You need to have LOTS of deposit with the bank in order for you to be "offered" this card. Unlike SCB's version of the Infinite, you can't walk into the bank and apply for the card. It's not available for application ... by invitation only. |

some information about the rhb infinite i read sometime ago at moneysection.com , but seems like their info are quite outdated. 200k limit are quite decent for that card.

i don't think there is a way to " complaint " which result in tremendously CL increase, i believe he has been dealing with Hsbc all these while and that's why he get it by a phone call.

sometime this problem does occur, but then still got chance to apply for it. Bank target segment customer usually different, but i believe majority bank here will approve your application.
Added on October 10, 2008, 4:22 ami remember once a banker from citi told me one of their non target segment customer is who operate florist. This post has been edited by Reventon: Oct 10 2008, 04:22 AM |

QUOTE(reinani @ Oct 14 2008, 04:39 PM) planning to get a credit card. my first. im confuse with the annual salary of at least 18k, means 2k per month... It should not be a problem , give it a try on local bank cc, as approval are easier.my salary is 2k but after epf/socso etc, it became 1.7k. am i still eligible to apply? they look at 'gaji pokok' or 'gaji bersih'? |

in my case citi has been offering quite high CL , no comment on other services as i'm just receiving their card for only one month. MBB is still acceptable except the bad thing is they combined my visa and amex plat cc, which i think the amex plat cc should be a standalone card.

You can also top up the exceeded amount of your CL like your CL is 10k , but you neee to use 12k , you can bank in the additional 2k first and then you can use for 12k directly thru your card

for mbf card, i think you can cancel the card by calling their CS. I've done that before and cancelled immediately.
