@byte thanks for the clarification on that. I dunno the difference between A-GPS and normal GPS.
@seaedge read ur post as though it was me talking to you. There is a hint of mockery in your post. Anyway it may be me being sensitive. However it is up to you to decide your manner of speech.
Cheers

There were times when I get a whiff of clique-y-ness around these parts, but I didnt let it bother me. Just talk to everyone, kelvin, and if nobody else respond to you, I'll always be there to answer your queries. Just dont ask things already answered here. That's where the stickied FAQ thread up there is for.

QUOTE(kelvin_tan @ Jul 14 2008, 09:22 PM) @seaedge read ur post as though it was me talking to you. There is a hint of mockery in your post. Anyway it may be me being sensitive. However it is up to you to decide your manner of speech. Cheers 1st bolded: first half i am not refering to you. 2nd half , yes i was refering back to what you said of GPS sux big time, what the point of pinpointing and we have to be stationary. 2nd bolded: i dont have to mock you. you indirectly misunderstood my 1st post hence you cant even understand the quote that i posted, assuming i was mocking you. if you would have spend sometime re-read the whole quote part, that quote actually answered most of your gps question, from location aware, GPS capability and is it that GPS will not pinpoint your coordinate while on the move. 3rd bolded: i know. thats y i dont intend to explain in my previous post.

hahah thanks stringfellow
@seaedge nvm lets forget this incident. Sorry if i offended you. Just that the info u gave me i read n read they were saying "It's important to note, though, that the iPhone's was clearly intended to be a location-aware smartphone -- not a dedicated GPS device. There's a big difference."
this part got me confused. I thought it couldn't tell coordinates while being on the move.

There's a video on Engadget showing how the GPS works. You cant do voice navigation on it, but it certainly tracks your whereabouts nicely. With the current Maps app that can already tell you directions to get to your destination, that should work nicely with the GPS onboard.
The only downside is the inability to store or cache the maps while you're on the move.

QUOTE( Engadget) Apple says turn-by-turn GPS coming to iPhone, copy / paste not a high priority
There's been a lot of random misinformation about the iPhone 3G floating around out there, like David Pogue's baffling comment that the device's GPS antenna is "too small" to support turn-by-turn directions, and Apple's iPod and iPhone marketing head Greg Joswiak recently sat down with AppScout to clear up some of the confusion. Greg says that Apple has an internal priority list of features for the iPhone, and that the company went as far down the list with the 3G as it could -- and that copy / paste support simply didn't make the cut. Similarly, there are no technical issues preventing turn-by-turn directions, just other "complicated issues" (read: legal agreements) that need to be sorted out, and Josiwak expects developers to "amaze us." as things "evolve." Hopefully that means that nav app TomTom's got in the labs will evolve its way into the wild sometime soon. Finally, Joswiak said that he's not aware of any technical reasons an office suite isn't already in the App Store, but that the lack of a cross-application file structure could impede development. Yeah, and maybe the lack of copy / paste, you think?

guys, regarding the seller at mudah.com, please do not be mislead by him. while i have never called him, i juz wanna point out that the photos are not consistent. link : http://www.mudah.com.my/vi/1122001.htm?ca=9_sphoto 1 shows 'iphone 3g' on side of box. but photo 3 where the the contents are actually displayed, has no 'iphone 3g' on the side! at first i thought it may be on other side of box cover but then look at the orientation of the phone on box cover and you will realise that the photos are of different product. maybe he is too buzy selling the iphone 3g to take real photos of it? again, i am juz observing and no offense meant to anyone! cheers!
