Surprisingly i felt Federer's backhand has really tighten up abit these days.. not trying to do too much with it.. which is good. But his forehand and serve, both of these have to be on fire against Nadal today.. i like his chance today.. nothing wrong to lose to Nadal again because he has lost to him for so many times... he should feel relaxed because he used to tense up too much against Nadal...
Would be a great psychological boost for Federer if he is able to beat Nadal in Nadal's homecountry and right before the French Open. Djokovic seems to be mentally crashed after the match.. saying that he has done everything to beat Nadal, even played beyond his own limit, yet still lost to the King of Clay. |

Wohoo, Federer did well to beat Nadal... I know this loss won't mean too much for Nadal... because he knew that he was tired..
But for Federer.. this gonna mean a world to him because not only he broke his own title drought.. but also did it by beating Nadal on CLAY and in Nadal's homecountry.. The crowd was almost against him... and he held his nerve at the end there. Great job! |

I think Nadal said that there is some problem with his knees. Would it affect his French Open's preparation? =)
Make no mistake, even after Federer won today, Nadal is still the hot hot hot hot favourite for Roland Garros.. look at his year so far.. so dominant on clay until today... and its just a loss because of the long long Djokovic match (actually not that long because both guys took like 1 minute after each point to get ready.... with Nadal digging his ass and Djokovic bounced the ball thousand times before tossing to serve) Great day for Federer. Saw some change in tactic there with more use of drop shot and his down the line forehand to Nadal's backhand. Anyway guys, Starsports is showing the Celebration of Centre Court, emm, a celebration for the new Wimbledon centre court roof. Agassi, Henman, Clijsters and Graff are playing now. Federer vs Nadal replay would be at 9.50PM in Supersport tonight. =) Enjoy. Yeah, Nadal was tired, but credits to Federer for playing the right tactic.

Haha, it wouldn't be Federer if he plays ugly tennis.... His brand of tennis is smooth and silky, which explains why his matches are generally shorter than Nadal's match... but yeah, the key is that he needs to stay strong throughout the match against Nadal in French Open....

QUOTE(praetorian @ May 22 2009, 09:02 PM) Nope,no way Novak will meet Nadal before the final, if the rankings go 1.Nadal 2.Federer, 3.Novak..... There is no such thing in tennis. The No.3 and No.4 are randomly put in either side of the draw. And on the side note, Novak is No.4, Murray is No.3. For sure top seed meet 2nd seed in final, 2nd and 3rd seed most likely meet in semi final Anyway, the draw is out. Murray is at Nadal's side of draw while Federer gets Novak. |

Not much difference anyway.. But Murray seems to be less effective on clay then on hardcourt... Yeah, but the draw is totally random... seems like its definitely harder than now Federer to win with Djokovic at his side of draw.
Today's Schedule- All courts start at 5PM Malaysian Time QUOTE Court Philippe Chatrier Sara Errani, Italy, vs. Ana Ivanovic (8), Serbia Alexandre Sidorenko, France, vs. Marat Safin (20), Russia Wayne Odesnik, United States, vs. Gilles Simon (7), France Anna-Lena Groenefeld, Germany, vs. Amelie Mauresmo (16), France Court Suzanne Lenglen Vitalia Diatchenko, Russia, vs. Mathilde Johansson, France Florent Serra, France, vs. Fernando Verdasco (8), Spain Nadia Petrova (11), Russia, vs. Lauren Embree, United States Andy Murray (3), Britain, vs. Juan Ignacio Chela, Argentina Court 1 Lleyton Hewitt, Australia, vs. Ivo Karlovic (26), Croatia Elena Vesnina, Russia, vs. Severine Bremond Beltrame, France Radek Stepanek (18), Czech Republic, vs. Gaston Gaudio, Argentina Victoria Azarenka (9), Belarus, vs. Roberta Vinci, Italy Anyway, French Open kicks off today and this is the schedule for Sunday. The only top 4 men's player that would be playing is Murray and he will play against Chela today... Won't be easy for him i guess. Ivanovic, the defending champion will kick off the first match of the main court today. ![]() This post has been edited by Bepeon: May 24 2009, 04:23 PM |

QUOTE(zzzz52 @ May 24 2009, 07:39 PM) Hi guys, i don;t have astro currently at my place, is there any internet streaming that i can watch the french open. I try bet365, but it is only showing football, or am i doing it wrongly, please help me. Try this. Thanks http://www.justin.tv/zabava_4 Just now i watched abit. The good thing is its high in quality, from a HD source apparently. But the commentary is in some foreign language. Ivanovic won her first match in Roland Garros.. but it was a struggle there on court.. She's really not playing her best... I don't think she can defend her title. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ May 25 2009, 01:54 AM) I watched Ivanovic match when it started at 5pm, pretty easy victory for her. But the one thing he still has is his spirit isnt it? Its always exciting to see his "come on!" when he comes back from 2 sets down and just keep fighting and fighting and fighting.. Thats priceless. Then got a glimpse at Lyeton Hewitt and Ivo Karlovic's match. Hewitt looks so pitiful, long time didn't see him anyways. Nothing like he was back in 2000 and 2001 where his return serves are absolutely instant points. Today's Schedule - Start time 5PM Malaysian Time QUOTE Court Philippe Chatrier Dinara Safina (1), Russia, vs. Anne Keothavong, Britain Rafael Nadal (1), Spain, vs. Marcos Daniel, Brazil Alberto Martin, Spain, vs. Roger Federer (2), Switzerland Marion Bartoli (13), France, vs. Pauline Parmentier, France Court Suzanne Lenglen Ai Sugiyama, Japan, vs. Aravane Rezai, France Venus Williams (3), United States, vs. Bethanie Mattek-Sands, United States Paul-Henri Mathieu (32), France, vs. Laurent Recouderc, France Andy Roddick (6), United States, vs. Romain Jouan, France Court 1 Nicolas Devilder, France, vs. Stanislas Wawrinka (17), Switzerland Anastasiya Yakimova, Belarus, vs. Maria Sharapova, Russia Bjorn Phau, Germany, vs. Jeremy Chardy, France Vera Dushevina, Russia, vs. Caroline Wozniacki (10), Denmark Another great day for tennis as the 2 current greatest men's players will be playing on the same day. |

QUOTE(triple02 @ May 25 2009, 08:09 PM) http://atdhe.net/index.htmlTry this. Pretty good quality with english commentary. Nadal just won his match, don't think he's playing really well, but its just the first round match so can't tell much bout anyway. |

Lolz. Talking bout Nadal's shirt.. pink in color.. don't you think Nike is really pushing its luck with Nadal.. i don't even understand why this Nadal will agree to wear all weird outfits... starting from his world famous sleeveless and 3/4 quarter pants.. and now pink color shirt... Lolz.. Won't be long till we see Nadal wearing Sharapova's dress to play tennis.

Lolz. I think while the sponsors can advise you what to wear, you can say no... especially when players like Nadal and Federer, they are superstars.. no way they are forced to wear something they really really hate...
Anyway, those who don't have TV can watch it here. http://atdhe.net/7087/watch-grand-slam-rol...nadal-vs-daniel |
