Since Federer and Nadal are not playing any matches today in Qatar, they will probably have their first round match tomorrow. smile.gif smile.gif

Starsports now showing Roddick match. Have to say its quite a crappy match so far.. Probably due to the off season rust. Can't wait to watch Federer tomorrow. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

any schedule for today Bepeon? Djokovic just lost his first round match in brisbane to Ernest Gulbis..seems like he changed his racket from wilson to headO.o
*
Read my signature. Then you will see the schedule.

Murray will be playing first (9PM).. then followed by Nadal then Federer. smile.gif

Yeah, surprisingly Djokovic went back to Head, he was a HEAD user before he switched to Wilson.. But he really got great results with Wilson.. so why is he still switching? HEAD may be paying him well. And now HEAD got Murray and Djokovic.. both future No.1.

Wilson is left with Federer and now Del Potro.

OMG DJOKOVIC LOST TO GULBIS! Really didn't expect this! blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif

Easy first round match for the top 3 seeds, Roger, Rafael and Murray. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

All 3 of them really look fresh to me.. Looks like a great season is ahead of us if these 3 + Djokovic can play well in the major tournaments.

Federer does look like attacking the net way more these days.

OMG, Nadal lost... Monfils played the match of his life! Totally OVERPOWERED Nadal.. as if Nadal was an easy one to be overpowered.

Crazy forehand by Monfils.. One hell player that is even more muscular than Nadal. Lolz.

Maybe tough for Nadal to win his first hardcourt grand slam in Aussie Open.

Come on Federer!

Nadal would have his usual reasons like ass pain, shoulder pain.. knee injury... tired... Haha. Nadal is most vulnerable on hardcourt, because his forehand has a big swing to generate spin... if he's attacked by those flat shots such as those by Monfils... he would be in deep trouble.

Hope Federer can beat Murray and win the whole tournament. This is the time to gain confidence for the coming Australian Open.

Side note: Nadal is in the doubles final. tongue.gif

Murray really on fire winning Qatar Open. Unless he suffers an injury, difficult to see why he will not be the new Australian Open champion.
*
Actually i do see Murray not winning the Australian Open.. Normal tournament and Grand Slam are pretty different... Winning a grand slam tournament will require more fitness.

Murray was having some fitness problem (back pain or something) in the 3rd set against Federer. Imagine that if it was a 5 sets match, he would probably lost in the 4th and 5th set, big chance i mean.

Sad that Sharapova can't go to defend Australian Open. But she's thinking about the future.. not present. If not playing this tournament can let her injury heal nicely.. i think it would worth it.

Phew, the Aussie Open draw is out. Take it look here!

http://www.australianopen.com/en_AU/scores...ws/ms/r1s1.html

Basically Nadal will get Murray in the semi and Federer will get Djokovic in the semi.

For women's side, Ivanovic may have to face Safina in the quarters.

Good news for those who don't have Astro.

ESPNSTAR.com maybe showing livestreaming of Australian Open. Can't confirm yet but it seems bright.

For the Australian Open draw, i think having Djokovic or Murray in the semis is equally tough.. Not like Djokovic is not as good as Murray...

Maybe that picture above is when Jelena is practising not in the full sponsored attire.

Well for realistic prediction on this year's Aussie Open Champ, I'm banking on Nadal.
*
No. Its true that she's dropped by Reebok + Prince due to economy downturn. sad.gif sad.gif

I'm banking on Federer and Venus!

i am banking federer and jankovic since sharapova not playing.. 1st feb 4 pm.. izzit malaysian time?
*
Of course its Malaysian time. blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif The final of women's and men's final would be at 4PM.

I'm abit worried bout Jankovic. I would really like to see her winning her first grand slam, in Australian Open but she fell sick last week i think.. Not sure whether it would have any effect on her game.

Ivanovic fell sick in Brisbane as well. She has not been playing her real game since winning French Open. I think she will have pressure to perform here.

And as usual, the two Williams sisters can probably win these grand slams without playing in the normal tournaments to warm up. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
